Donna Marie Dream Curling Cream MIXED with the Curling Gelly, applied after my leave in.

Would it be weird to just pour the cream into the pump bottle with the curling gelly and SHAKE? The cream is too loose to be in a jar. I am too klutzy. I have the same beef with Lustrasilk's cholesterol treatment - too loose to be in a jar.

BTW:
HIT: pre-pooing with the Lustrasilk cholesterol (the shea/mango one)

Deva Cut

Revisiting some of the items in my stash of things that were acquired during the past 2 1/2 years. At least for the time being, hair no longer seems to hate shea butter. Hopefully that will last long enough for me to use up some things in the stash.

Decluttering the closet by just throwing out some things from said stash. These I knew I would never revisit.

major hit: cj smoothing lotion. this product has non of the major ingredients that my hair loves like coconut, evoo, castor, wheat germ, hemp oil, and butters. in fact my hair isnt that fond of jojoba oil which is one of the oils in this product yet my hair loves it. it has amazing slip and a good amount of moisture.
it doesnt plump my curls like kckt but the detangling is much better.

hit:claudies protein. although this wont be a repurchase because you have to order from fotki but i love this kick of protein. i use it on wet and dry hair and even to steam and its amazing.

hit: huetiful steamer. im surprised how much i love this thing. i was skeptical at first because my hair holds on to moisture so well anyway and i need more protein than anyway, but i like it.

CJ aloe fix lite.

I'm shocked on this bc when I tested this in it's prerelease stages my hair never hated anything more than this stuff and it was like putting rubber cement in my hair and electrocuting myself. The Aveyou sale gave me the cojones to retry it and I'm glad I did! It still had a slightly rubberish feel when applied to wet hair but frizz died and my curls are all bouncy n clumpy! It worked great under the Shescentit LI!

Beaux Cheveux Essentials Claifier Poo Bar - I think I mentioned this before. Tried on my hair and my daughter's. Lathers nicely but when you rinse, leaves your hair super sticky.

HIT:
CURLS customer service. I was looking for some Cashmere Curls on the ground last week and went to a CURLS salon from the website where they told me that they didn't have CURLS products and never heard of Cashmere Curls. I e-mailed CURLS and within 24 hours I had several responses saying they would look into it. Last night I got an e-mail from their area distributor confirming the product was recently delivered. Today I got a call from the offending store saying they were holding the Cashmere Curls for me.

First Impression Miss: Enso Marshmallow Root Twisting Pudding - Most likely has too many oils and too much glycerin for me. I was sent a 2oz sample, which is basically enough for me to use as my main styler once, so unfortunately I can't test it on twists or anything like that. I didn't like how it smelled, and upon application I could feel that it was glycerin heavy (not surprised due to the ingreds), like CJ Aloe Fix. It didn't make my hair tangled or hard or anything, it just didn't do much, besides give a little bit of frizz control. My hair is also too wet and dripping, even after blotting with my towel because of the high glycerin content - especially after I used Gel-les'c on top (my fault I know, should have used a non-glycerin finisher). Overall, I'm not curious enough to buy more and test in different ways - I was hoping it would be more like the Califia Pudding w/ glycerin.

Hit: revisiting Shea moisture smoothies milk ( pink bottle). Ive had half a bottle in my stash for a while so I'm trying to "use it up". I'm using it as a refresher and it's the ish. I'm going to repurchase this once I use up some of the stash.

Miss: Trying to seal with shea butter. Result: chunks in my freshly washed hair. Never again

Somewhat Hit: VO5 moisture milks, starting to think I like this. I clarified and used a moisture milk afterwards to detangle. I didn't need to follow up with another conditioner or anything. I also like that it rinses clean even with my hair still in twists. One bottle only gives me 4 uses though.

Curl Junkie Curl Assurance Smoothing Lotion - Score! This leave-in feels amazing on dry and wet hair. It has a lot of slip (slippery elm extract is the 5th ingredient). I love how a "smoothing" cream doesn't have 'cones in it. I added this to freshly washed hair, put in hair in 4 large twists and the next day is soft, frizz free hair. The scent is hard to describe, but it reminds me of a light musk mixed with some sort of fruit. I love it.

Miss
Kyra's Untimate Cupuacu Curl Cream - Where do I start? This cream leaves white balls in my hair upon application even on naked hair. At first I though it was because I may have had some gel from the previous day in my hair, but even on freshly washed hair, it does the same thing. Forget putting it on dry hair. Though glycerin is far down on the list of ingredients, this cream separates each and every curl into one my frizz ball like its #2 on the list - dew or no dew. I guess that's what happen when you order from a new company that may not be as precise on measurements, ingredient labels, etc. I like natural and some artificial vanilla scents, but this one is borderline nauseating.
