I'm going to have to agree with you. My wonderful hair is so seasonal it's ridiculous. Winter my hair is hybernating, doesn't grow more than 1/4" if that, no shedding or breakage unless I caused it by fussing with new products. Spring I can get about 1 inch a month. Summer shead city no matter what I do (so far) to stop it. Fall 1/4-1/2" growth, minor shedding. I can set a clock to my hair's seasonal cycle right now.

Hey all! So I'm rocking these box braids right now and loving the low maintenance. I did wash my scalp yesterday. I sprayed my scalp really well with cool water. Then in another spray bottle I mixed distilled vinegar(ran out of acv) and water and put a few drops of orange essential oil for smell. Sprayed that on my scalp liberally and rubbed. Then I used my water spray bottle to rinse really well. When I was finished I sprayed just my braids with my wen conditioner and water mix. I didn't wash my braids in the shower cuz I didn't wanna wait for my hair to dry plus I was being lazy.
Pros:
All in all it turned out well it was my first time cleaning my hair like that. I liked it for the simple fact that it didn't disturb my braids to much so I don't have that much frizz going on. And I didn't wait very long for my hair to dry.
Cons:
My hair is clean but I like the feeling of my hair being thoroughly clean I get when my hair is sopping wet.

NICE. I'll have to remember that when I get my hair braided.
Right now my hair's in twists. i really like them. Although my shoulder length hair shrank up to my ears...GRR! Lol

Okay YAY. It's not just me And that exact same pattern sounds just like my hair, only somehow it grows like crazy while shedding at the same time...? It don't make no sense. Haha.

I'm in box braids myself. Been in them since May 15, so this is week 3 for me. I'm trying to go 8 weeks but we shall see. As for washing them, I'm one of those people that have to completely submerge their hair in water in order for it to feel clean so I'll just have to deal with the fuzzies. I'm dying to take these braids dow. I miss my fro so much. But I know as soon as I take them out, I'll be back to hating my hair again. We love to hate each other.
As for the shedding, I can't speak on that because I'm braided up but I'm hoping it skips me.

I'm here too!
Current length: Almost 4 months since BC. I'm a little past ear length stretch on the sides, half way down my neck in the back and a little past my eye brows in the front
End of yr goal: At least to the end of my nose in the front, stretched. End of my neck in the back.
^^ I hope that makes sense lol
Current Products:
*Suave Naturals Juicy Apple condish for co-wash
*Shampoo with SM Moisture Retention once a month
*DC with Giovanni Deeper Moisture
*Moisturize with BRBC (maybe, gotta find what works for me)
Right now I'm just doing WnGs because two strand twists don't look very good on my hair yet. I just found out I'm low porosity so I'm trying to figure out a way to get my cuticle open long enough to moisturize.

My stuff from Enso Naturals is here. I want to experiment sooo bad but I'm fighting the urge to take my braids out. I have some new growth and they are fuzzy (which I hate). But once again, I'm trying to hang in there for a full 8 weeks.
All of these brand new products staring me in my face...I feel like a junkie...I want to use sooooo BAD!!! God help me...

Hey peeps so I'm checking in. I had my hair braided so my routine did variate much but I took my hair down this weekend. I did a pre poo with coconut oil and washed the next day with Vo5 clarifying shampoo diluted. After that I did the aphogee 2 keratin treatment and followed up with my organix root stimulator deep conditioner. I ended up leaving that in and sealed with a little coconut oil. My hair doesn't mind it at all and is super soft. As for growth I seem to have retained about 3/4 of and inch which makes me happy for 5 weeks in braids. I'll post pix soon. Happy growing

i would leave them in longer but my hair is grwing really fast and the new growth is starting to LOC!!!! I cant have that so after another week theyre out. i would definetely do these again but prob only during the summer months.
