Default Any Deep Conditioner Suggestions for 4c?

Hey Ladies,

My hair is a 4c and I will be using Henna tomorrow for the first time. I know I need to use a really good moisturizing deep conditioner afterwards. Please give me any suggestions you have.

I love Miss Jessie's Super Sweetback Treatment, but the price is not jiving with my pockets right now. So if you know of anything comparable but a little less expensive, please let me know.

I'm not a '4c', but I find that deep conditioners that work well for my dry, wiry, porous hair are AOHSR (can buy in stores and much more effective if I add honey), My Honeychild Olive You conditioner and recently, Curl Junkie Hibiscus & Banana Deep Fix. I also need to leave my dc on for hours after a henna treatment, sometimes I leave it on overnight. Hope this helps.

I love SheaMoisture African Black Soap Purification Masque. I got it at Walgreen's for $10 and it's the only DC I've ever used that I don't need to add anything to.

I have braids in now and will be trying the smooth as silk deeper moisture conditioner by Giovanni when I take them out, but I had been using Garnier Fructis's 3-min undo dryness reversal treatment. For my hair it worked great but I realized it has mineral oil in it so I'm gonna try some other things.

The Giovanni Like Silk is awesome as a cowash I never thought to try it as a DC because it seems so light but I will be trying that. I was in the store yesterday and almost picked up the GF 3-min undo dryness and saw the mineral oil. I was so disappointed!

It is AWESOME as a DC. I always see the liter pump bottles of the shampoo in TJ Maxx. Whenever they get the conditioner in, I will definitely be buying one. But, the shampoo is awesome as well.

I'm still looking for a deep conditioner as well. So far I'm using the Aussie Moist 3min deep conditioner.

I wonder why it isn't on their website. Is it new?
It was one of the new products that debuted with the Walgreens release in April. That was a great sale. That Purification Masque is amazing. On its own! I detangle with it. Use it as a r/o and DT. Great stuff. Definitely a staple.

Well i use Hask Henna N Placenta Conditioner(in moderation) for like every 2 weeks. For me it worked wonders. I used it as a deep conditioner for like 30min-1hr then detangled using Smooth as Silk Giovanni conditioner(leave in for abou5-10min) braided each detangled part(mad 6-8 parts) then washed out(still braided)
This conditioner made what i thought was 4b/c curls look like 4a curls. I was shocked myself. Anyway it works and it helps with moisture. My hair was moisturized until my next wash(for about 2 weeks) I also used Hollywood Beauty Olive Oil in my hair 2 times a week. Just about a quarter size(in my palm). If you are protein sensitive this may not work. But for me it did.

BTW I recently found out Henna was dye(at least i think it is) i didn't know that (i know im' ignorant about hair stuff Lol) Anyway this conditioner is NOT a dye at all, it's only a conditioner( i don't ever wish to dye my hair).
But my hair is armpit lentgh and very thick i needed 2 packs of this conditioner(and it's $0.99/each at my local walmart)
It worked for me but could be different for others. Wanted to put this out there because i'm not sure if people know about this conditioner. I didn't find this conditioner in the black hair care section of walmart, just saying.

Henna can only dye if the dye content has been released. In general, it's a very good conditioner. So you're not ignorant at all! Vatika oil has henna in it.

I love Hydrating Hair Mask by Hollywood Beauty. It has Argan Oil in it. I LOVE-LOVE-LOVE the way my hair looks and feels when I use it. I use it on my daughter and it helped more than any other product I have ever used to blow-out her nonchemically treated hair without a tear being shed by either one of us. I get it at Walgreen's. Hope this helps.
