Big chop HELP! :)

Hey everyone. I recently big chopped and I'm still getting used to it. I'm not exactly in love with it, but I have a few questions for anyone who's willing to help

1. How long after your BC did you notice growth?
2. Have you ever used "IC FANTASIA TEA OIL MOISTURIZER"
3. Is it okay to cowash everyday? I moisturize and seal 2x a day.
4. Since I'm not confident with my hair, would it damage my hair if I Put a sew in weave in it for about two months?

Congrats on your BC!

1. I didn't really notice my growth until now, like I knew it was growing but just didn't realize how much, maybe b/c of shrinkage (gotta love it tho =D). i'm at almost 4months now.

2. no never heard of that

3. Yes, it is. I believe Elle co-wash everyday.

4. I would say no it wouldn't. But I know there are steps you would have to take to make sure you hair isn't drying out and what not. Not really sure what they are but I know someone will chime in to help.

Good job on the bc. I know exactly what your going though I long term transitioned and then bc in February. Since I was so in shock about the length I put my hair in braids the next week lol. Only concern for you about getting a sew in would be being able to moisturize all your hair daily. So it could lead to breakage if your not careful.

1. How long after your BC did you notice growth? Not sure, probably a month. Remember, your hair is always growing but with curly/kinky hair it may take longer to notice it.

3. Is it okay to cowash everyday? I moisturize and seal 2x a day. I used to cowash daily, and still often condition daily (no longer cowash). Some people love it, some people don't.
4. Since I'm not confident with my hair, would it damage my hair if I Put a sew in weave in it for about two months? It all depends on how you care for your hair while it is in the sew in. Weaves aren't damaging by nature, but a lot of people do not moisturize or maintain their own hair while it's in a weave. If you have never had a weave before, unless you do some research on how to take care of it, I wouldn't recommend it. I've never had a weave for that very reason.
