Default Simple Homemade Protein Treatments

Does anyone have any recipes for any? I did a search and there were alot of no responses to peoples questions or one or two answers so I figured I'd have better luck posting.

I was using a store bought one (Soft-N- Free Milk Protein & Olive Oil PT) which seemed to be doing fine until recently. It may be due to a change in my reggie however I would still like to begin making my own so I don't have to keep buying them.

All suggestions & recipes are welcome.

My very simple & cheap protein treatment is this:

3/4 cup cheapie conditioner (V05 or Suave)
2 tbsp EVOO
1 Egg

I leave it on for about 30 & rinse out.

I would use 1/2 of an egg white (for it not to be too runny), honey & about 2-3 tbsp of Organic Root Simulator Hair Mayonnaise. If it comes of too runny I just add more hair mayo. I would sit under my steaming cap for 15 mins and then rinse out. My hair loved it.

Thanks to both of you ladies. Now when you use the egg do you use an electric mixer to whip all of the ingredients or do you just use a good ol spoon to mix?

You're welcome. I dont bother to plug in the mixer. I just use a whisk, fork or spoon.

1.Coconut Milk + Olive Oil

2. 1/2 avacado + 1/2 mayo

3. Full fat yogurt + Olive Oil

4. cheapie conditioner + 1 egg

Aurbery orgainc's GPB is about $8, last a long time if you mix it with a cheapie condition

I blend an avocado and add yogurt to the mixture for a nice natural protein treatment.

I would use 1 whole avocado if it is the ssmall hass brand. Use 1/4 avocado if it's a large one. Also add a 1/2 cup of yogurt. That should do the trick.

Try this simple homemade mayo conditioner: Photo: Homemade Mayo Deep Conditioner (or for eating) Recipe | Products, reviews, and recipes album | Mrssmif (Thinking of BCing again) | Fotki.com, photo and video sharing made easy.

I made in a blender with 1 cup of sunflower oil and 1 whole egg. It turned out quite nice.

Taking into account the good suggestions I got, plus doing some other research I think I found a recipe I would like to try: MAYO (I think I'm gonna use the organic kind), EGG YOLK & EVOO. That's its. Just tryn to keep it simple. I actually won't do a PT for another 2weeks based on my reggie but when I do I will be sure to post how it turns out. I'm thinking of doing it as a pre-poo & then following up w/SM shampoo & condish. & then styling w/my whipped shea butter.
