Pfffff!
He doesn't know what he is talking about! He is just Oprah's kept stylist. It's not that he said what he said--because who gives a crap about that--but it's that he said it in ELLE!!! We build and build, and all it takes is one clown to attempt to knock it all down!
Anyway, it's obvious he doesn't know what he is talking about!! There are so many different styling options, one just needs to go to youtube. Let's not blow this out of proportion. He ain't nobody, ha!

I actually used Kinky Curly on my relaxed hair and LOVED it, it was the first time I used it and it was the only gel that I had ever used that I could scrunch out my hair didn't look stringy, dry, or crunchy. However, I'm not an idiot and wasn't expecting my hair to curl up like crazy, it was just wavy.
As for Andre...well, yea. Him and Dickey have said some questionable things about kinky hair. So have Tito and Michi (yes I know those aren't their actual names). So have some articles on Naturally Curly.

Yep, this.
He stopped doing his homework a long time ago.. and I guess he thinks he knows everything just because he's Oprah's stylist. Well guess what Andre, we got news for you and all the other stylists that think like you. There's a new stylist in town called "me myself and I" and we really don't need you anymore.

The only way I will ever rely on a torturer- I mean stylist- again is if I want a really good blow, and even then only the Dominicanas cuz they know exactly how to handle my hair with love and care since it's so similar to some of theirs
PS @ werenumber2: your naked hair is simply to die for, really

My sentiment exactly re: 'torturer.'
I know there are cool stylists out there somewhere but I've never had the good fortune of finding one.
Andre is just too old-school and corny for my tastes. i can't take him seriously at all.

Lol. *waits for new naturals IRL to warn me about evil Andre*
I think he's been sitting up laughing at the natural community over this system all this time. This negro probably busted his gut laughing after doing that interview, like "I can see these nappy heauxs' faces as they read this raht nah! Hahahahahah!"

Really? He thinks Halle Berry's hair is difficult at shoulder-length? He thinks her hair is kinky?
I can't.

What a contribution. Did you get that out of your system?

*yawn*
He's no different than any other lazy/ignorant "hair doer". They don't want to be bothered with kinky hair...that's fine. I don't want to be bothered with them.
i just saw this over on bglh. so naturally i went to his website to poke around. there is a q&a section and some of the answers he gave to people made me raise an eyebrow. he actually tells a woman who has a question about why the nape area of her hair won't grow that it sounds like it could be breakage and she should relax her hair more. relax breaking hair more? wheretheydothatat???
Why is that a troll? Although it's sad, to a lot of ppl that's a reputable argument.
