What's the best twist cream??
Hello all,
I'm reposting this in this board. I posted it in the 4b forum by accident. Any who...
I was wondering what you would suggest as a really good twist cream for a twist out, or flat twist out that will leave my hair shiny, soft, moveable, and elongated. I am protein sensitive and my hair tends to dry out from products containing carbomer.
I have been eyeing the Donna Marie Dream Curling Cream, but I want to get your input on this as well as other products you've tried.
Thanks to all that responds!

That does work very well to define, but I want it to have a little more hold than what shea butter and oil gives by themselves.

Grrrr, what is up with companies that don't want to list the ingredients? (frustrated)

Afroveda's Curl Define is my HG...I have achieved 7 to 10 days on my twist outs with this as my styler.
Mozeke's Babassu Twisting Cream...5-7 days
Kyra's Cupucu Curl Cream...not much hold but 2-3 days
Zipporah's VMMS and DMHC...5-7days
Njoi's butters all are great

If you don't mind my asking-
When you say 'holds for 5-7-10 days' do you re-twist at night or just pineapple? I would love for my twist outs to last that long without having to re-twist.

It really depends on you and your hair. Since I go to the gym most days of the week, I have to retwist - it also depends on the type of night I'm having. If I know I'm going to have a "mellow" night and morning w/o gym, I pineapple.

Thank you! I'm tempted to try the Afroveda, I've read many positives about the product, but not the company.

Great point, thanks! I'm training for a 10k so achieving 7 day hair would be futile anyway. Having the option would be great though.
