Any Tips on Daily Moisturizing?
 

Hi Ladies,
I have been natural for about five months, and now that my hair is growing longer it doesn't seen to hold essential oils. My hair start to dry out in just a few hours after applying oil. So my question is what products would you recommend for daily use to make my hair soft and maintain my kinky coils?

Sometimes I add a heavy cream on top depends on my hair needs

OP, please note that oils doesn't moisturize, it only seals in moisture that's already there.

Ok lady's I ordered the products you suggested Oyin Hair Dew, Alma and Olive heavy Creme. But I won't receive the products for another week.

Meanwhile my hair feels like a Brillo Pad. There has got to be a cheap drugstore product that will daily soften and moisturize my hair! Any suggestion?

Everything doesn't work for everyone, however the best thing I have done for my hair moisturize wise is to moisturize my hair w/a distilled water & grapeseed (not saying that you have to use this same oil but thats just what I use) oil spritz twice day...its thats simple. My hair has never been more soft or moisturized & by using the water & oil I moisturize and seal in one easy step!

For some people, oil alone is not a good moisturizer; it can dry the hair out if a water-based leave-in or conditioner isn't used first. Often instead of oil, I use Qhemet Olive & Honey Hydrating balm. Honey is a wonderful humectant.

Karen's Body Beautiful Ambrosia is really nice for remoisturizing on dry hair. I also like Qhemet Burdock Root Butter cream.

Glycerin and water spritz unless you live in the Southwest where it is dry. Otherwise try honey and water spritz until your goodies arrive.
