I am glad I came across this thread. I had been toying with the idea of doing my DC on dirty hair previous to washing it. I did notice what was listed on the AOHC bottle but hadn't heard about this being done before. After reading this thread, I tried it and I am pleasantly pleased with the results. I will be doing it this way from now on. Thanks again for sharing.

I never wash hair before DT or PT. Whatever LI and styling product is in my hair from yesterday, whether I CO or WO washed yesterday, I spray water on to get hair wet and then apply my DT/PT. No prob for my hair. I know that by taking this "easier route" for me, I am sticking to weekly DT or PT. If I had to get in and out of the shower 2x for the process, I would be less motivated to do it weekly.

The AO conditioners actually work better for me on dry hair. Honestly it did nothing for me when my hair was wet. I found it to be odd but hey whatever works.
