Knot Genie. Anyone tried this brush??
Knot Genie. It's like the tangle teezer, but it looks less flimsy, and also looks like the plastic rim has no snags (my TT has some)
It's also more expensive (double the TT price)
I kinda want to get it...someone make me get it by telling me how awesome it is

It looks like the same thing. I wouldn't get it, especially since it's twice as much.

Looks exactly like a TT. If you want it, you should email them and ask if the teeth are seamless.

And if it ain't seamless it ain't gon be worth it. It looks exactly like the tangle teezer. I been using my mason pearson comb and I'm doing fine and dandy. I'm not gonna risk having to do another BC. I retired my tangle teezer.

Oh I didn't have to BC because of the tangle teezer. My hair was shreded way before I started using the tangle teezer. I BC'd at the end of December because of incomplete splits and holes in my hair. I think I used it once or twice before I BC'd. The horror stories of how it shreded people's hair and stuff, and then realizing that it wasn't seamless, I grew scared to keep using it. I don't want to risk it. My sister's hair though...
In retrospect, it didn't cut down my detangling much anyways. My hair was like 2 inches when I started using it so of course it was easy and quick.lol Now my hair has grown a lot so those days are gone. Short hair is easier to detangle point blank.
I've gotten faster with detangling in general though so I'm good. And my hair is in much better condition anyways so detangling isn't that difficult due to bad ends and stuff and I don't have much issue with my twists not being smooth because my strands are no longer disproportionately uneven.

Nope...looks just like the Tangle Teezer.
Let me say that before the TT, I didn't have issues detangling my hair. My regular detangling tools, along with my wash/condition technique, worked just fine. Detangling has never been a nightmare.
I tried the TT, because it was new, and I'm a PJ. But when too many people started complaining about bad breakage/splits, I made a very quick decision to retire that thing, because life was good before it.
PLUS, I had concerns about it from the beginning. This is too close to being the same thing.

Ok. I have an update finally. So I went to the salon that carries this. It's priced at $12. It's WORSE than the TT. Poor workmanship to the core. The part where the bristles are doesn't not completely fit into the "handle" part (there is space between nearly all of them. The bristles are just like the TT. I could not see any seams though (neither can I on the TT) but the tops of the bristles are not smooth; some are and some aren't (is this the reason why people are saying the TT is not seamless?)
Anyway, this one is more junk than the TT for sure...I cannot believe they are selling it online for $20. It should be....free the way it's made...gosh
Ok. So...that's that.
