what does your DM DCC smell like

i have 2 jars of dcc. one looks completely different from the other. but the smell is really whats getting me. one smells light and sweet like vanilla or something similar to AF pur whipped gelly and the other has a chemical smell.

so what does yours smell like?

I wasn't sure what mine smelled similar to until someone told me it smells like Luster's Pink Lotion. Hate it, but it works well. I wouldn't repurchase though. Seeing way too much about inconsistencies with this.

I have a strong nose since I am a pastry chef. Mine smells sweet but I can still smell a chemical smell. However I can still smell one with all of my products.

maybe thats what this jar smells like? it does smell like a bss hair product but the smell is very chemical, at least to me. at first i thought maybe it smells like strong coconut but it doesnt. its a chemical smell. but my first jar smells so nice.

my first jar looked like curl junkie aloe fix. it was kinda thick and cloudy. it made my hair hard so i gave it away. my second jar is the one i fell in love with. its thick and a light pink almost white color. and is very moisturizing. this last jar is white and light like a lotion, very jiggly and looks exactly like bee mine curly butter. i have not used it because it doesnt look or smell like the jar i love.

I was wondering about the color variations. Mine is white, but I've seen some that are light pink.

I've experienced the color variations too. The one before the last one I received came white and gradually turned like a pinkish orange color. I asked them about it and they said that the vanilla fragrance in the product can cause the product to turn colors over time and they were trying to find a vanilla that didn't turn the product another color. Perhaps they changed to another vanilla?

I will say that the product still works the same but I hope they get the fragrance issue together because I really love the cake batter smell.

This happened with Afroveda PWG and Hairveda's Jelly for me too. Product performed the same, just a variation in color over time.
