So excited got my Cacao Bark Deep Conditioning Hair Treat and 2 samples of the Palm Tapioca today. Super fast shipping.
The Cacao Bark Deep Conditioner smells dark chocalately delicious. Very creamy texture, I love how it feels on my fingers. Better than velvet.
I liken the Palm Tapioca Deluxe Hair Cream scent to Naturalista's Juicy Hair Leave-in but not nearly as strong a smell as the Juicy Leave-in (I admit I am a bit scent sensitive). The texture is a very smooth butter, not whipped but definitely smooth.
I'm headed to the shower to play.

Got my goodies today...the DC and the Palm Tapioca hair cream. The postman delivered it to the WRONG house.
The Cacao Bark Deep Conditioning Hair Treat? YUM!!! I totally agree with ChicagoKinks...awesome consistency. It feels creamy and...velvety. You can smell the chocolate, but because the scent comes from the cocoa butter and cocoa powder, it smells natural and delish - not artificial, not strong. I'll be using this on Sunday - wash day. Can't wait!
My Palm Tapioca Deluxe Hair Cream is very creamy. Yep, it's a smooth butter. I just put some in my week-old twisted hair (full of product), and it didn't make my hair hard...softened it right up. I may twist with it. It smells good (similar to the Juicy Leave-In), but I don't think scent sensitive folks would be troubled by it. It's quite mild, in my opinion.

She seals her jars, y'all...I'm talking about the paper seal on the rim of the jar.

First impressions ...
Cacao Bark Deep Conditioning Hair Treat
Now first let me say that the last conditioner that blew me away is Christine Gant's (Brown Butter Beauty) Babassu Butter Love Deep Conditioner. So, that's the deep conditioner to beat.
Uhmmmm...I like it, but I don't love it. It's missing that "something", that adds that extra softness/pliability to my hair. I love the smell, the texture, and the feel of it going on. Detangling was a non-issue. I did leave it on overnite - I was too tired to rinse and detangle last nite.
But after I rinsed it out, my hair was just...fine. I wasn't moved, like I was with my Babassu Butter Love. I'm going to use it up and see if my initial impression changes over time.
Palm Tapioca Hair Cream
I applied it to week-old twists (loaded with product), and my hair felt soft and moisturized. I'll be using it this week on clean hair.
Seven Fold Butter Blend Whipped Butter
I'm twisting my hair with this today. I have my beloved Claudie's Hair Frappe underneath as a leave-in, and I love the hold and softness. So, it's an excellent twist butter for me.

She sent it to the wrong place so now I have to wait until I go to Grandma's house to get it!
Still excited though!

Just steamed with the Cacao Bark Deep Conditioning Hair Treat and my hair is in heaven. It is so soft and detangling is a breeze (detangling has never been an issue). So far, I'm loving it.

I've used the Cacao Bark Deep Conditioning Hair Treat twice now, and I luv it. It leaves my hair soft, and is one of the most moisturizing conditioners I have used in a long time. I already ordered another jar, before finishing the first.
I'm still evaluating the Palm Tapioca Cream, Java Bean Balm, and SevenFold Whipped Butter. They all spread good, smell wonderful, and soften the hair nicely in the spots I've used them--I just haven't tried styling my whole head with any of them yet cause I only had samples until recently.

I meant for the bolded item. Christine Grant's DC. No matter, I've found it now. *sees loads of proteins... runs away!*

See, this is how you do it. She has my respect, as a competent, on-the-ball business person.
I sent her an Etsy convo, asking when her new hair milk will be on the market. This is her reply:
Now, instead of going the quick/fast/in-a-hurry/don't-know-what-the-heck-I'm-doing route, she decides to go slow and get it right.

Thanks, NEA - I'm glad she's not going the "tea tree oil is a preservative route" as well!
I've been reluctant to order water based products from new/small companies, but its good to know I can trust BASK.

I tried the balm, tapioca cream and DC and I like them all. They all soften the hair and make it very manageable. The cream and balm don't really hydrate my porous ends but the highlights always seem to need more. Otherwise. I enjoyed!
