Last week I twisted with the tapoica cream and java bean pomade. Lovely shine and soft hair. Even when I took it down prior to washing it today, still soft and supple.

Today I used again all Bask products and Im happy to say, amazing as usually.

I cant wait to try her body line
Rashida's products are...amazing. I'm going to pass out when I see her at the WNHS in April.
+1, I will definitely be scouting out her booth.

Sweet Manna is some guud stuff. Its recommended for use on damp hair as a leave-in but I'm impatient and used it this morning to take my twists down for a twist out. The twists were slightly crunchy (I used AV Curl Define to style over CJ Smoothing Lotion and sealed the ends with Dax "Green" Grease). Sweet Manna instantly took the crunch away and left my hair soft and shiny. Super defined, soft and shiny twist out.

Castor oil as a main ingredient can be heavy and greasy on my hair but this is different, light and not greasy.
I will try it on wet hair this weekend but so far my dry hair is in love.

It'll debut in January 2012
(along with the Silk and Honey Latte Hair Milk)
Get your credit cards READY!!!

I got permission from Rashida to tell y'all about it, after she confirmed that it's a go. I was a tester. If you love honey and olive oil as a DC, you're gonna love this one. I like it MORE than I like the Cacao Bark DC (I like the Cacao, but it's not love). Matter of fact, I love this one.

Ingredients:
Clover Honey, Vegetable Glycerin, Yucca Oil (virgin olive oil infused with Yucca root), Avocado Oil, Meadowfoam Seed Oil, Manuka Honey, BTMS, Panthenol, Essential Oils of Grapefruit and Copaiba, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin.

The only thing that will change is the scent. The majority of testers didn't like the essential oil blend. I like it, but I don't care as much as about how a hair product smells...especially a rinse out conditioner.

It's a very thick, honey/taffy-like consistency. It needs to be applied to WET hair, as instructed. I see this being an issue for folks who don't like to follow directions. Wet hair helps the nectar to emulsify and penetrate the hair. It's way too thick/gooey to try and work it in the hair, without the help of water.

I used a heat cap..heat is recommended, and when I was done, I rinsed it out - it rinsed out easy, and left my hair unbelievably soft and pliable.

Of course if your hair doesn't like honey or glycerin, it goes without saying this probably isn't a good conditioner for you. But my hair loves both, so it's all good.

Rashida mentioned that it's not to be used as a leave-in, because of the high humectant content.

That's all folks!

The cacao deep conditioner reminds me of the Anita Grant Rhassoul deep conditioner. It's not a breeze to apply at all. No slip. I felt like I was using a lot because I couldn't tell it was on my hair at first, and I like to see the conditioner on my hair. I slept with it overnight and rinsed it out this morning. My hair felt nice. Kind of like the terressentials makes my hair feel and the Anita Grant deep conditioner. Quite nice. My coils were poppin.

I'll reserve ultimate judgement until I use it again this weekend

I liked the product as well, but I must say that one CAN use it as a leave in. I followed her instructions and rinsed it out the first day, but on day 2 when my hair was starting to feel dry (I didn't use anything else on my hair so that I could evaluate it better) I just re-wet my hair and added a SMALL amount of the YAM Nectar as a leave in. Went on to day 3 with no additional products needed.

This product is very similar to Qhemet's OHHB, and that is a leave in. However, my hair felt softer w/ the YAM Nectar so it might replace it in my arsenal. I think whether or not one leaves in honey/glycerin depends on their hair and the climate they live in. I've made honey sprays (honey + water) and sprayed it in my hair for moisture ::shrugs::

Glad it worked for you as a leave-in. I posted what Rashida recommended, as one who developed the product. It's always up to the individual to ultimately decide how they will use it.
