Heat damage alert!!
Hey chicas! sooo here goes. I am natural. Always have been always will be.. I have fine to normal 4A hair, 3C in small back areas. However, about a year and a half ago I began straightening my hair and adding clip- in extensions, which looked hella bomb at the time. But boy oh boy did I pay for what i was doing! You know the saying 'beauty is pain', *pause* yhhhhh...now i know EXACTLY what that means! I COMPLETELY lost my curl pattern, I mean not one single curl was left! my hair was straight (Heat Damaged) from root to end. I didnt know what to do, so I started searching around online for tips and solutions but NOTHING worked. So I decided to grow my hair out. Anyways my journey was going pretty well until I decided to cut a bang at the front, to get rid of a lot of my heat damaged ends. The cut was amazing I loved it, BUT, the style I had meant that I had to flat iron my hair to maintain the bone straight look....so you'd never guess what happened..yep, you got it! HEAT DAMAGE AGAIN!! I mean WTH is wrong with me..ugh so now I'm growing it out yet again, although it werent damaged that bad so I have about 3-4 inches of newgrowth and the rest straight ends. Its just like having a relaxer. So I guess I'm transitioning from Heat Damage to my Natural texture. This sucks! but I plan to continue this journey of mine until June 2012, when I plan to take a holiday with my best friend in New York and Miami. Then I'll do a chop at a good salon in New York. So if you guys recommend any good salons in New York, please let me know.
Feel free to join me with my journey, I plan to grow at least 5-6 Inches of growth by May-June 2012.
Below are some pics of the styles I achieved by 'BURNING' my hair Lol
Wow! Thanks for sharing! Be blessed on your journey toward healthy hair:joker:. There is a lot of wisdom on the boards here that will help you get where you want to go.
