I've never tried Chagrin Valley's poo bars but I was in love with Afroveda's Carrot Seed Bar and Bobeam's bars are way better. I am able to detangle with the lather. Leaves my hair clean but not stripped. These bars are a staple in my household and her customer service is on point too.

Chagrin Valley poo bars were my first experience with shampoo bars, and a few of the CV I really liked, and a few I didn't.

My favorite bars by Bobeam are:
Honey and Oats, followed by the Cheris Hibiscus. I have the Hemp/Green Tea bar that I haven't used yet.

The Honey and Oats and Cheris Hibiscus bars don't leave my hair feeling "gummy". I don't have to follow with an AVC rinse.

I just got back into shampoo bars. I bought 2 samples of the Chagrin Valley shampoo bars and used one for the first time yesterday; I wasn't all that impressed, but I'm going to keep using it because today my hair does feel amazing. But then I found this thread so guess what I did... yep, went and purchsed a Bobeam shampoo bar yesterday. I got the Cheris & Hibiscus; I'm excited to try it!

How many washes do you get out of one bar?

And has anyone tried the clarifying or detox bars?

I never counted how many washes but by doing the math it lasts well over 2 months with bi-weekly washing and I believe my bars are used more than twice a week by other family members.

Bottom line they last longer than my rinse out.

Don't sleep on her Shea moisturizer

I bought this Shea Moisturizer October 2011 and its still as creamy and fragrant as day one. I keep it at work because my son used the other up so quick

Still loving these bars! I washed with the oats and erm, honey (?? labels long gone) one the other day and randomly decided to leave my hair naked (no rinse out, leave in, oil, nuffin!). My hair was lush! I haven't had HiH syndrome so bad since I big chopped! Mmmm!

I'm still loving my bars as well. Just absolutely loving em! I only use em once a week & co wash every other day. So by the end of the week my hair gets a special treatment with bobeam, DT & ACV rinse. Sets me up for the rest of the week

I'm going cone free now that I'm natural and I was experimenting with cleansers that are milder than liquid shampoo. Baking soda just isn't working for me so I want to try something different. I've never tried Bobeam shampoo bars, but you ladies have good taste so I ordered the mystery bar as a sample. I wrote her a note explaining that I've never tried her bars before so hopefully she picks out a good one for me, lol. I <3 surprises .

I tried Chagrin Valley Shampoo bars years ago. I remember preferring to use their soap bars over their shampoo bar on my hair because they were more moisturizing, however I do remember having liked their Babassou shampoo bar. They were a bit expensive when shipping was applied, as I remember. Bobeam is more reasonably priced, IMO. Haven't tried Bobeam yet. Just ordered a sample bar today, though.
