I'm so glad this bar came in the KBB holiday box.

Do you prefer it to Terresentials?
I can't really fairly compare them. They are two totally different types of cleansers and I like them both for different reasons. If you're the type that prefers a typical shampoo, than this bar would be for you. It's definitely more user friendly and less messy than a clay wash.

I'm sensitive so I'm afraid of the protein bar. Lol

I washed last night with ACV. I didn't prepoo like I usually do because I wanted to see how it did on it's own. I must say it is the most moisturizing shampoo I have ever used. I get buildup easily and need a clean slate once a week. Honestly I usually go for slightly drying shampoos because the more moisturizing ones I've tried didn't get my hair clean enough. But my hair felt very clean. The other concern I had was my scalp. I find just about any shampoo will cleanse my scalp but those with ingredients like teatree and peppermint tend to keep my scalp cleaner longer. Since this is ACV I figured it would do the same but I went ahead and followed with some Teatree Tingle Conditioner just to be safe.

Anyhoo, my review of the new ACV bar is two thumbs up. Moisturizes while still giving a good clean. Next up is Cheris Hibiscus. I will probably use it tomorrow on my nape because I have discovered my nape is from another planet than the rest of my hair. Looser, coarser and doesn't like cowashing. I have to use a mild shampoo then a conditioner to keep it moisturized. Anybody else have that?

Uh oh, that's another poo bar I have to put on my last and I have 9 of hers. I'm glad it worked well on your hair . Clarifying poos are so needed esp when you're natural and you have to twist your hair with the many twisting products that we sometimes use!!! The buildup on the scalp and hair is ridiculous. You know it's funny that you mention the Cheri's one bc at first when I tried it I was like ehhh but then the second time I tried I was like YESSSS! Very moisturizing . I've used it three times and the last time I did my hair. And you know what I do with her bars is I cut them in half so they'll last longer and the whole bar won't disintegrate being exposed to water. I put a butter knife in hot water and cut it in equal half parts. You know she has the shealoe bar with the tea tree in it. A lot of pple love that one. I have it but haven't used it yet.

That's a great idea. I'm going to cut mine too.

I ended up shampooing my hair again today after accidentally using something that an oil mix that has mineral oil it. My hair hates mo. I decided to try the Cheris because I'm looking at getting away from cowashing and wanted to see how it would do. I skipped prepoo. I washed in four sections. Since shampoo tends to cause tangles for me I usually only smooth it and never detangle but I decided to try and was so surprised I could run my fingers through my hair easily. Nice slip. Anyway, I rinsed it out and my hair wasn't stripped but honestly not quite as soft as acv bar. I decided to skp the dc (which I never do after shampoo). I added a little oil to my TN, let it sit for about 5 minutes and rinsed it out. My moisture came back great.
So it looks like the Cheris is my new cowashing agent. I will likely still using my stronger shampoo once a week and this in between. I saw on YT where a lot of naturals say it feels like cowashing and I agree. But it gives me just a touch cleaner hair that I need to keep buildup at bay and my hair moisturized.

Bobeam may be a moisturizing shampoo but still a shampoo. Not dcing after was a mistake. My hair is not super dry but not where it should be. I corrected the problem today. So anyone who must DC after shampoo please continue to do so. I will have to keep on cowashing for now.

That's the same thing I notice with the cheris! It's not really for making the hair really clean, but she does have the bars specifically for clarifying so when I don't have a lot of product buildup I use that one or the honey & oats. The chocolate rhassoul one is good also for detoxing the hair but I'm not sure if detoxing has the same effect as a clarifying but I know she specificity has about like 3 bars for clarifying. And that chocolate one smells JUST like chocolate so does the Orange one smell just like vanilla oranges but I ALWAYS dc after because I need to feel like I'm giving my hair that extra moisture.

I know I read your first reply but did you use the new Mo protein one too?!!

It may be out of stock. I was on the site Saturday and noticed the bars I ordered CH and Rootz Stimulator were not being offered for sale. She is probably making a new batch so you have time to think it over.

btw, I did my dc and happy days are back again for my moisture levels. I'm Very happy with my bars and my skin is looking vibrant. I don't bathe with them but it gets to my face when washing my hair.

She just listed some more on Etsy. I have it in my cart with the discount code entered in the coupon area! You know I NEVER thought in a million years that something like shampoo bars would be so good and the fact that they last so long is a real plus. Now with her new Acv bar I think I'll have to pass on that for now bc I tried an acv/ayurvedic shampoo bar from another company on Etsy:

http://www.etsy.com/listing/10076880...=cat_gallery_3

Now that bar is amazing and it's almost twice the size of Bobeam's. When you wash you can see the brown traces of powder. Soft, thoroughly cleaned, moisturized. I was sooo impressed.

But I'm glad that dc put the moisture back in your hair! I hate it when my hair feels dry after going through the whole process of washing. It makes you feel like you did all of that for nothing. What did you dc with?

Did you tell her you were from Curl Talk so she'd send you a free sample of either ACV or Protein? That's how I got my ACV.

The only dc my hair likes is banana/oil/honey. We are bffs.

Purchased the rhassoul and cocoa bar, which I've wanted to try for the longest, and went back to get some more for a gift.

She also sent me a refund for the 12% off, even though I derped and put the code in the wrong place.

You're going to love that bar Dream! It smells just like chocolate. It's moisturizing and makes the hair very clean, not stripped and it feels so soft and much stronger. I cut my bars in half to make them last longer as it is a pretty big bar!!

I have used bars that were two years old and they worked just fine - after a year the properties of the essential oils will diminish a bit though, but they are still good to use on your hair and body. I had so many stockpiled we started to use them to bathe with to use them up faster.

The new bars will be revealed on Black Friday and don't forget if you want to test them out first, if you purchase something from the site send me a note that you're from NC with which one you want to try and I will send you a sample.
Laquita! I didn't know you were a member of the board (excited). I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. It's Mercedes/Msauthor7. I've ordered 9 bars from you and all I've tried is 3 yet and still thinking about trying your new ones, especially the yogurt/egg protein one now that I hear they have at least a 2 year shelf life and I see Curlypad from YT has become a believer also! I told her girl you gotta try those bars
