What's my hair type?

I BC'd at 7 weeks post a texturizer and have 2.5 inches now. What do you all think my hair type is or is it too early too tell?

Ogo'm 11-28-2011 06:33 AM

I don't know anything about hair types so I cannot help you there, but I am so envious of your hair growth rate: 2.5 inches in 7 weeks!

I am just going to go cry in my coffee while I wait for my hair to slowly () get to bun length.

Guess

I would guess 4a/4b....Are your pictures with or without product?

moosegrl_86 11-28-2011 11:34 AM

I would say 4b for now, but that could change after a few months. About a year after I went natural I noticed my hair start to clump on tiny 4a spirals. You may want to let it grow a bit more and you might have more than one texture by the look of it.

greenandchic 11-28-2011 11:42 AM

I think you need a little more length to be able to tell your hair type. If I had to guess now, I would say 4a, but... :dontknow:

It looks like you still have some relaxed pieces in the back, but even that may be too hard to tell yet.

favoritecolorblu 11-28-2011 12:38 PM

Looks 4b, but it could change since you just BC'd...

Kilajo 11-28-2011 07:58 PM

Man, your hair's hard to figure out. I think it is because it needs to grow out more. My guess right now is 4a. But the good news is curl size is really not important to learning the best products to use in your hair!

On my EVO

hi guys! I took pictures today after I cowashed. I used Knot Today and sealed with Pineapple and Guava oil. I'm 1 month natural!

moodydove 12-26-2011 10:40 PM

Pineapple and guava? Where do you get that? Those are new to me, but I'll bet they smell great!

ETA: No idea, sorry. Try not to worry about that.

Runna4Life 12-26-2011 10:55 PM

I got it at Sally's. It's by BB Tropical Roots. It's really for Locs i think

FoxyGuide 12-26-2011 11:26 PM

I will say type 4. I stopped putting letters with the numbers.

vanillatoffee 12-26-2011 11:52 PM

congratulations! hope you enjoyed your first month.

and pineapple and guava oil do sound tasty. hmm…i wanna try...

NaturallyNiké 12-27-2011 07:09 AM

you look 4a...and it just looks like your hair is still getting used to moisture.. it will probably be a lil more defined after a while of that...

greenandchic 12-27-2011 12:12 PM

I'm curious about this pineapple oil too. I did a search but only found flavored oils for cooking.

Hi! Could you tell me the full ingredients list of this oil please? It sounds yummy! :thumbleft:

soleilmoncur 12-28-2011 10:55 AM

I love how the oil sounds but an ingredient list would be great. Natural ingredients can still be mineral oil and it drys my hair out.

Sent from the mytouch 3g slide. Spell check does not compute.

Pineapple oil great for curly/frizzy hair apparently! I Googled and it was my second result. :hmph:

Also, their suggested oil blend with guava oil sounds awesome!

it does cut down on frizz a lot when I use it :)
but still I'm dealing with something: my hair near the root is silky, smooth, and looks like 3c/4a, but the ends are NOT defined at all and look like 4a/4b. How can I fix this?

Is it possible to post the ingredients list from your bottle?
