Curl loosening products or treatments

Does anyone know of a product(s) that will loosen my curl pattern? I have 4/a,b hair and have been texturizing, but not since February/2011. I usually go to the salon and get it done. I have meet some young ladies from NY, and one of them told me that I needed to have the Brazilian ladies do my hair. I live in WV, out in the country, where there are goats, horses, sheep, cows, etc. Its not easy for me to get to NY, but I'm looking for a product or treatment that will softnen my curls because my hair is really getting tangled, and I have noticed more breakage. So, its time to get something done to help with tangling. I waited so long because when I had the last texturizer put in my hair was not as strong and thick. I heard about something called the Curlaway, but not sure. Any information would be appreciated until I decide. Thanks!!!

You hair might be breaking because you texturized it in the first place.

Careful detangling practices: never on dry hair, always on wet hair drenched with conditioner and/or oils, watch the tools you use - they can be a problem, etc. Make sure you do protein treatments on your hair since its compromised by the texturizer. Henna might be a good option since it does loosen the curl pattern for SOME people (not all) and it could help strengthen your hair at the same time.

Continuing to loosen potentially damaged hair won't do you hair any good.

Henna Treatments can possibly loosen your curls!! I noticed a difference after one treatment, and it is supposed to get better the more you use it. Can't wait! There's a lot of other positive aspects about Henna. Of course there are a few cons. For me the Pro's far outweighs the cons.

Here's more details about Henna -Pro's and Con's

You don't need another texlaxer right now.

Your hair needs to be revived before you try to add more chemicals to it. Doing a BC or cutting off all of the damged edges would help get your hair back on track.
Afterwards preparing your hair with a lot of protein treatments may save it from being completly fried when you do another texlax.

Texturizers have been proven to weaken hair and you may have fine porous hair that is easily weakened by chemical treatments. Before you put ANY chemical or natural straightener in your hair for that matter, figure out if your hair strands can take the fallout of such treatment again.

I hope you find something that works and you can get back to healthy hair!

I'm not obsessed: I just LOVE my hair!!

Appreciate the advice and options offered. I'm leaning towards the Pre-soft Tx, its natural, and it will soften my hair, plus it will be safe to use on hair that has be texturized at the salon with chemicals. Its almost been a year since I've had a texturizer...thats a long time. I was going to go and try that BKT, but I heard it may straighten your hair over time.
