Thanks! Yes it does. I really have no clue why I was stressing over it so much. It's like the anxiety over dealing w/the 2 different textures (or 3 in my case lol), not truly seeing your hair, etc is now gone! I'm in love!LOL
Congrats!!! I wish you lots of success on your journey!!

I'm in. Soon as I get on the "master computer" to find the communities. Wait.. Are they on the app? Hmmm. Anyway, I have to get better about covering my hair up at night.

I shall join! I'm more about health than length, but it'd be nice to keep a photo record of my growth as I keep forgetting to take photos!

Right now, my TWA is 3.5" long and shrinks 50%. I am 4a. When can I realistically expect to get a pony puff?

Give it 3-4 months.

If your hair grows an inch a month and you are retaining that length, then it may take about 3-4 months (in addition to what you have now) before you can pull it back.

Couldn't post an attachment in the group, so I'll post it here.
I forgot about the challenge already and put twists in! So it looks shorter even when I pull on the twist, but since I'm pretty much always in twist, I bet most of my progress pics will be twist shots anyway.

Now my hair in twists is 7.5 in. In the back 9 in the middle and 7 in the front.

I plan to keep PS and moisturize and seal daily. Also clip these scraggly ends.

Count me in. My hair is 3c and is a bit more than shoulder length. I'll be posting pics soon.
I use sulphate free shampoo and conditioner. I also use coconut oil, argan oil, castor oil, shea butter and I've done a blend with argan, jojoba, tea tree, peppermint, basil, castor, hemp, lavender, frankincense, Rosemary, carrot seed and ylang ylang oils to help my hair recover from all the damage caused by years of heat.
I also use my hair normally in a bun to protect my ends.
I want to have my hair by my waist in January 2013.
Good luck to all.
