JOINED!

=Current Hair Length=
APL (stretched) (goal for Dec 2011, so I just made it!!)
=NATURAL<3=
=Length Goal=
aiming for BSL (or beyond) by December 2012
=Regimen=
Co wash/conditioner cleanse 1x per week..set hair in twists with a leave-in conditioner..deep condition when necessary. The end.
=To Reach My Goal=
I'm currently protective styling hard core. My hair looks like this 99.9% of the time:

I only take my hair out to play for special occasions ONLY. Just celebrated my 25th bday Jan 12, so I took my twists down for a twist out:

I re-moisturize my twists every 3-4 days with water, then re-seal with my leave-in.

I'm trying to phase out 'styling products' and stick to conditioner only styling. The product junkie in me MUST die, lol! I want to also start taking a hair vitamin..looking into GNC Ultra Nourish Hair or Hairfinity..we'll see. And of course more water water water! I need to start drinking more water for sure.

I gotta say, it's going to be nice to be apart of this community. Hope to update soon!

@mocha_mom can you tell me what products you used for those twists in your photos? That style is really cute.

~Current hair length: 2-3 inches (I think)
~Natural: just did 2nd big chop January 23, 2012
~Length goal month: 1/2-1 inch a month
~Current Regimen and styling choices:
**Suave Naturals Shea butter shampoo (1 x a week)
**HE hydralicous as RO/co wash (2-3 x a week)
**SM curl milk as leave in/ moisturizer/ sealant ( on avg. 1 x a day to fluff my puff)
**oil scalp with castor oil (1 x a week)
~What do you plan on changing (if anything) to make it to your goal?
PUTTING HAIR IN BOX BRAIDS AT THE MOMENT SO I WONT GET BORED AND DO SOMETHING STUPID. gonna take my hair out every 8- 12 weeks to blow dry and check length then gonna braid it up again. Gonna do this until Jan. 23, 2013 (1 yr. anniversary-when I straighten).
**Shampoo 1 x a month
**co wash/RO Hydralicous (1 x a week)
** wet hair w/ water and seal w/ SM curl milk (3-4 x a week)
** oil scalp w/ castor oil, coconut oil and evoo 1 x a week (mostly castor oil. just trying to get rid of the evoo and coco' oil)

Default Road to hip length

Hello Everyone. I know I am a little late but I too would like to join. I have already begun something similar back in november on a forum that has a collective goal of waist length hair. I am almost to that length, so I wanted to join another forum that allows me to take it a step further:

Current hair length
~mid back/waist
~Texlaxed
~Length goal month~ June
~Current Regimen and styling choices~

1 1/2 weeks wash with
Nexxus Promend shampoo and conditioner,
leave in promend cream
90% comb
continued no applied heat
apply oil mix when needed
protective bun style

vitamins;

centrium multi vitamin tablet
1000mcg biotin
4000mg MSM
200mg vitamin-C

~What do you plan on changing (if anything) to make it to your goal?

nothing

Here is my beginning picture,

and here is my hair up until january

And I usually do not apply heat to my hair, In fact it has been 2 years since I last applied heat to my hair. But I recently had my hair lightly flat ironed:

I hope to be able to help everyone in their journey!

I would like to join also.
I stopped relaxing in August 2010 and cut my relaxed ends off last April. My hair is growing pretty well everywhere except my crown area. Recently, I have been doing more protective styles (twists) and being sure not to pull my hair back too tight if i do a puff. I also bought some headbands that do not pull or catch on the hair. I have also started making sure to add moisture and seal my ends daily. I will also do better with my vitamins. Hopefully I will pick up some tips that will help me grow out my crown. I am excited to join this, my first challenge.

I am currently between 1-2 inches varies.
I have always been natural. But this is my first time getting to know my hair texture (Ive always worn my hair straight).

Currently I am wearing a weave. I plan on getting senegalese twist next.

My goal is to be shoulder length by October(typically it takes 8 mos for me to grow my hair out)

Length prior to cutting it again (this is my 4th time cutting all my hair off)

I know that my photos are malfunctioning, but I am actually here today to let everyone know about my regimen change. Instead of Nexxus, I will be using Avon's Advance Techniques damage repair shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in. I did a review comparing the two here:

blair7276 - YouTube

I will be back on the 31st with some new pictures.

Default waistlength and growing

Hello everyone! So far, so good with my plan. I still like the avon hair repair kit that I mentioned before. I will probably need another relaxer by the next time we update. I hope that everyone is doing well! Please let me know if there is anything that anyone would like to know about such as certain products of regimen specifics.

UPDATE!!

Wow, I read over my previous regimen, and boooooy has it changed! I stopped protective styling (oops!), and re awakened the product junkie inside..muahahahaa!
I do co wash more, sort of adopted the CG method. I didn't join this challenge until January and the last time I did a length check was September of 2011.. I was almost APL

Fast forward to about 10 mins ago

I had hit my APL goal for last year, them surpassed it. I believe I'll be BSL by the end of summer!
Woo hoo!!
