I typically only use Qhemet AOHC & BRBC during the Spring/Summer because of the glycerin and was ready to start stocking up next month BUT this ridiculous hiatus has really turned me off!!! I'm actually thinking about trying B.A.S.K. products instead as I've heard such great things and the comparisons to QB.
Does anyone know what's really going on with QB and the website? Maybe they are gonna start selling strictly through distributors and shut down the website.......dunno....

B.a.s.k is great, however, my QB favs are the CTDG and AHTB and unfortunately I haven't found anyone who's product is compareable. I'm hunting but in the mean time I feel like a squirrel trying to stock pile.
Even if they are only seeling to distributors then fine, say so. I mean all this run around is getting old. I love my hair but this here is not cool.

I wrote their Facebook page in feb saying what the heck is going on first it was a dec sale then jan then no sale and no products and if they were exclusively selling to vendors only and I thought it was a rude reply they said we updated our page weeks ago....well I had been checking their page reg. it just said vendors you could buy from didn't answer the question. I deleted them from my fb.

If that's what they're doing I don't understand why they don't just say that. Why can't they give a straight reason why they're not opening up? What is the harm of us knowing the truth behind why they're closed? It's March. A sale was supposed to happen in December and they've been closed since November. I'm sorry but I can't help but be baffled by this. I wanna know the tea got dammit!lol

I agree, but it's not like they have an in person shop that's being remodeled or something, so even if they don't have a sale, I don't understand why they won't open up their online shop while restocking their other vendors. They don't make as much money that way so I, like you, am oh so baffled.

Surely if you deleted them from your Facebook, your comment goes as well? I've seen loads of complaining comments stay up, so it seems strange that they'd delete yours. 
Anyway, I'm waiting until I treat myself at Easter. It will either be QB if there's a sale or it will be BASK. I love their stuff, but I'm a PJ. There's plenty others I'd like to try and have fun trying, even if I don't think they will compare.

What the heck do they mean by they will re-open once they improve their production output?? They've been able to re-stock Sage twice weekly for over a month now - how much stock do they need???
Man, this sale had better not be the normal 20%. It'd really piss me off! Yes, I know I could just take my business elsewhere, but that's not the point! I would have bought more in November during the 10% sale if I'd known. The only European retailer hikes up the prices and has high enough shipping that it works out cheaper buying direct from QB, especially when there's a sale on. And I just KNOW if I give in and buy elsewhere the sale will happen the next day, knowing my luck!  So, I'm either gonna take part in the sale or I'm going with another brand.

I don't think some of ya'll realize how many people like Qhemet's products. It's not just to folks on the boards...her stuff has blown up from print magazines (I saw a recommendation in an organic living magazine geared towards white women) and a bunch of other places. Qhemet is no longer an "indie" product company, and she's trying to keep up with the increased demand.
I'm not sure how many units her production turns out a day, but it must not be ANYWHERE NEAR what she needs to keep both retail locations and her web shop stocked. The last I talked to her on NP.com, she mentioned that she was looking for a new manufactor that would meet her quality standards, meet her quantity demands, AND would not cause her to have to increase the product price. I take it that hasn't happened yet so she's using the current production which is only enough to keep retail stocked and doesn't give her enough of a "stock" for the onslaught that will happen with an online sale.
I hope she's able to get things worked out soon.
