Default Compacted curls!!

So, at night I put a satin bonnet on and in the morning, it's not tangly or matted, it's just compacted! It's hard to pull up the curls. They are still there, they are just mushed down. I have a TWA, so I can't really braid or twist, but is there a way to fix this without rinsing in the shower?

You could scrunch in some watered down conditioner and twirl the curls around your fingers.

so would I just spray some water and do it that way or will that require me to rinse in the shower? Rinsing my hair every morning with conditioner won't hurt growth will it?

I have a small spray bottle that I use for refreshing. I put a mix of water and leave in condition that's 2 parts water and 1 part conditioner. And no, cowashing won't hurt your growth.

ETA: Cowashing is using conditioner to cleanse instead of shampoo. You just use the pads of your fingers to get the scalp clean. I dunno if that's what you meant by rinsing your hair with conditioner? Either way it shouldn't hurt your growth haha.

If you put your hair in afro puffs using ouchless bands (I use the plastic ones) it will keep your hair stretched out while you sleep.

You could spray some water and use your palm to ruffle it (like people do to little children )

You could let the steam in the shower soften it and let it reset

OR
You could just do it again. Since you have a TWA and it should take you less than 5 mins

I put some type of leave in in my hair and put my shower cap on. By the time I get out of the shower, my hair has sprung up, and feels good b/c the leave in kinda steamed into the strands in the shower...
