Type 4 Hair & CG Regime

I am posting this in the Type 4a board & the Shampoo Free board.

I am interested in going fully CG, not a modified version. However, I need some help. When I previously read the book in the early 00ís I kind of followed it, but not really. I stopped using shampoo, but I was NOT reading ingredients etc. My hair did seem more moisturized, but had build up. I didnít notice the build up until one day I accidentally shampooed my hair while at my momís house and noticed the difference. Since then, I began shampooing again the dryness occurred. Anyway, I want to try being 100% CG and give up shampoo forever, but also minimize the potential for build up and learn alternative ways to clarify.

My Hair:

4ab, fine w/ low to medium density, length varies from tuck behind the ears length, to just past the shoulders (only when stretched). My hair is healthy, but dry. I have previously coloured hair 1x to 2x per year, but am okay with no longer colouring my hair.

My Questions:

Has anyone co-washed while their hair was in a protective style?

I have homemade butter that I use (castor oil, evoo, shea butter, coconut oil, jojoba oil and other things) that I use on my scalp, hair and to seal my ends ends that I use when doing the intial protective style, and will use it to seal my ends after every co-wash, is that too heavy?

After the co-washing (except when I do the initial protective style), I plan on putting evoo on my scalp. Iím used to butters, will my scalp dry out?

Planned Regime:

Co-wash scalp & oil scalp w/ evoo, and seal ends w/ butter 2x per week (while in a protective style)

Co-wash hair & scalp, deep condition, apply butter to scalp, hair and ends, and redo protective 1x to 2x per month (depends how messy hair gets)

I need product recommendations:
Clarifier for when there is build up (recipe or commercial product)
Conditioner for co-wash
Deep conditioner
Conditioning spray/liquid conditioner for when taking down protective style

As far as your scalp you know better than I what it likes. I tried giving up shampoo but it made my scalp crazy itchy so now I use a low poo. My scalp hates grease and butters. It clogs my pores and gives me dandruff. I would only put EVOO on my scalp if I was going to immediately shampoo after. I dont protective style put I have seen some ladies on yt wash their hair while in mini twists. I tried to do it in regular twists like kimmaytube does and my twists fell apart from the water.
