washed my hair today and banded, the bands are still in. I was trying to figure out what to do with it , then it hit me. I'm 25 months post relaxer and a year and 2 days post big chop, and I don't know what length I am. Length check, I will be straightening tomorrow.

aww, i really wanted to use part of my taxes to get together some premiee clothes and donate them to the hospital michelle was born at. i figure the moms would appreciate it, when chellie was born so tiny for the first two weeks she swam in newborn sized clothes, and in the hospital i felt at peace somehow when she wore something that actually fit her, a little green onesie with "mommy's sunshine" written across the chest in hot pink glitter print with a screen printed sun. and hot pink mittens and white socks. made me feel much better. the idea came to me last night, and i found lots of cute cheap stuff in preemie and micro sizes. my favorite was a navy blue sweatpants/hoodie combo, with a football print onesie sized to fit a boy 3-5 lbs.
i took some new pictures of michelle today:
you know what hurts my feelings? my godmother had a grandaughter about my age and we were really tight. my mom didn't like her, said she was a bad influence, and the girl was wild, so when we moved momma forbid me from calling her, even let my cell phone go out of service. when i finally got to a phone, she had moved too, so we lost touch. a couple weeks ago i searched for her on facebook thinking long shot, because she HATED myspace so why would she be on facebook? well she is and i was overjoyed. she's grown up alot, has 4 kids, married, college graduate, a natural now too, and she has a little girl exactly 1 year and 3 days older than michelle that she named mia! we have tons in common i can see. but she won't return my messages or accept my friend request. she always felt i needed to rebel more, knowing her she probably mad i let momma brake us up. she don't understand it broke my heart, i loved that girl and her son. that disconnected phone? i still have it, 7 years later because it has my only pictures of her and her son.

That looks yummy! It might make a great pre-poo. You def could make it -- hydrogenated soybean oil is Crisco, right?

If this doesn't keep my ends from proofing up when I just get done straightening, I will officially give up and be like Nap85 and do mini twists for swang.

Also I like how when I was at Ulta sitting on the floor reading the Living Proof labels that I have been eyeing for about two years now she tried to suggest Carol's Daughter line. Ummmmmmmmm. Then when I asked do I really have to get the shampoo she takes me to a stylist and they try to tell me about sulfate free shampoos when that was not what I was really asking and I had to let her know that I use clay or Loreal cleansing conditioner. She was also doing a woman's hair that was natural that had heat damage. When I walked away she asked her about sulfate shampoo's effects on her hair. Did I mention she was not black. The associates were sweet though. #randomstory

I hate when people use NC as a drive by complaint board. It just rubs me the wrong way. They make an account just to post their bad experience with XYZ company, usually resurrecting a very old topic in the process. They never log back on. Never contribute. It's not that their experiences aren't important, it's just.....this isnt a complaint board. There is ripoffreport, pissedoffconsumer, complaintboard, etc for that. Especially since the company cannot a) address your issue here b) respond.
