They probably found you. Lol.
A lot of people associate black people wearing natural hair as being part of a political anti establishment movement.

I think that perception is one of the reasons my mom and a lot of her generation shy away from wearing their hair natural. The only radical concept here is that anyone (from whatever background) thinks the basic act of growing out natural hair and ditching all the contrivances radicalizes that person somehow

I don't think that in Taiwan there is a heavy preconceptions of black people. Like I'm lumped w/ Americans. So I drink coffee, alcohol, and love pizza apparently. Everyone just thinks my hair is really cool. I put mini twists in over the weekend and folks were about to have a heart attack

Do they really associate coffee with Americans? Maybe that is because of Starbucks? I would assume that most Western Europeans don't think of Americans as coffee drinkers. My family is from Cajun/Creole Louisiana and we drink coffee all day long. My aunts brew coffee that looks as if it has an oil slick on top. The only Americans I've met who could drink coffee as strong all have a French or Spanish cultural influence.

The creator of Starbucks was inspired by the way Italians drank coffee so he thought he would bring that concept to the US. It seemed to have worked. Lol.

I guess I'm unAmerican because I hate hot coffee, iced coffee, anything coffee flavored. It all gives me a headache. My dad hates it too but my mom is grouchy without it.

My family is southern and we loooovvvvveee our sweet tea all year long. I was in CT one October. my friend and I went out to lunch and I ordered tea. They didn't have it. They told me it is a seasonal drink up north. I drank water. I'm not big on sodas either.

Remember when I told you guys about the slave and slave master dna test being done on my family? Well, the results are in. The only way to prove paternity was to find a direct male. I found someone on line who agreed to take test. Actually it was kind of two tests. The part on the test that can be taken by men and women proved he and I are definitely close cousins. The y test that can only be taken by men showed him to a definite match to the direct line white men in the family who had already taken the test and had their dna on file. So that's that. The master IS THE FATHER! My cousin who is white told him welcome to the family. I don't want to say the name on here but It is actually a very very prominent political Virginia family. i.e. I now have a presidential uncle. She is getting together a bunch of history for us that goes back to 1600s in Italy.

Btw Did you guys know they are remaking Roots? I just hope they don't cast Beyonce and Bowwow.

I was surprised that people still do the Brazilian keratin treatment, but I guess it was only the Brazilian Blowout. I wonder what happened to the Japanese straightener. There doesn't seem to be health effects from use. I've always wondered what chemical straightener Nicole Kidman uses. When she wears her hair curly on her off days, there isn't as much volume or frizz as her older days, but then again it could be because of heat damage.

I think it was the blowout. She only calls it "a Brazilian" in the story but the headline says Brazilian blowout.
I'm not feeling her new hair look. Almost as bad as her acting.. almost

Her hair looks greasy, limp and dirty. Ironically, she reminds me of Brad Pitt when his hair is long and he looks homeless.

I agree, and I feel the same way about Pamela Anderson's new pixie 'do. Cute cut, but just not on her - I think it aged her.

Speaking of which, I still can't get with Kim Kardashian's hair color. I think that blond put a good 10 years on her.

Yeah Kim K isn't as striking with the blonde hair. I'll have to check out Pam's pixie cut.

I looked up Pam's cut. I can't say I love it but I prefer it to her old hair. Now she looks more classy and natural and less artiticial porn star. Plus her hair looked fried from all the bleaching. She was stunning in her younger days before she got all that work done.

I never understood why Pam had work done. She was naturally stunning, even with the bleached blonde hair. I think she would have aged well, but all of the work she has had has made her look a lot older than she should.

I just saw Pam's pixie cut. She looks great and younger in a good way. I also like the classier look with the clothes. Depending on how she styles the cut, it complements her or takes away from her pretty face.
