The New & Improved Say It I Dare You

I remember an old Dr. Oz episode where the he said that if you eat meat regularly then going once a day for the second option is needed. Otherwise the meat, especially red meat, sits in your body and rots.

My thing is I do no go every day but everyone else in my family does. That's why my granny made me take laxatives as a kid. I rarely eat red meat so that's good. I feel like I have to be way extra with my diet. I eat a lot of yogurt, leafy green veg, whole wheat version of almost everything, bran cereal. I have also tried eating prunes. The only thing I think works really well for me is pear juice but it's expensive and can be hard to find where I live. I have been taking probiotics only about two weeks. Jury is out.
@adthomas laxatives weren't really a good idea.

I didn't go everyday as a kid, neither did my friends and neither do/does my nephews and nieces once they were out of nappies. It wasn't considered a big deal as long as no-one was straining. Now the ones who are adults are more regular.

Apart from eating a lot of fruit, vegetables, legumes and whole grains with a minimum of 3 grams of fibre per 100 grams doing daily cardiovascular exercise will make you more regular.
For example runners don't have issues with bowel movements.

For me normal is usually twice a day. Now since I was about 21 after my period I having a movement for about a week and it is PAINFUL. The doctors can't figure it out. I eat a high fiber diet and have since high school. They blamed it on hormones and put me on birth control. It helped. I tried to get off of it-but no the agony for that week is debilitating.

OAN: I am so excited to try a lace front wig. Never tried one of those either.

I find on my period I have to go more often.

GaGirl - If you don't mind me asking, why are you wearing wigs? I'm always curious when people wear wigs or extensions and it isn't for medical reasons or a costume.

I think a lot of us after our 3rd or 4th year natural get that itch of change sometimes. Some ppl color or cut but I usually like doing brown or blonde. However when I did that when I was relaxed, it's what caused my hair to break off. 2nd reason which is about 18% is I have said it before I really like wearing my natural hair big and Taiwan is always humid even when it's cold so my hair is always shrunken. Georgia can have the same wet air but at least from about November until about March the dew points are much lower and I can wear my big hair. Last very small reason is in a way I stick out less (not really). I also mentioned this before but it is irritating to have people gawk at you and girls giggling(not mean spirited-excitement and delight and nervousness, but still...) at seeing something different. It a little less intense(barely) when I don't wear my natural hair.

I added a few tracks twice in high school for a pageant and for prom. It is very common for pageants to make the hair look fuller. I was relaxed back then. Some thin hair naturals I have seen on YT do it too.
Thanks GaGirl for answering. And I forgot about sticking out like a sore thumb in Taiwan. has school began?

@AdT - I knew about people adding tracks for fullness especially for pageants or acting or modeling. I was just curious about why someone would cover her own hair for such a long time ths t didn't involve hair damage or acting.

Why am I awake at 1:30 in the morning?

It is pretty intense to be stared at all day like that, I feel ya. It happened when I was relaxed. I can only imagine if I had been natural =) I agree it's not mean-spirited at least. I once had an elderly woman come up to me wanting to shake my hand, as I was the only black person she had ever seen in her life.

Are you going to go for a bone straight one?
Are you only set on a weave and not other hairstyles like twists because it can only last so long? Or you just don't like the other hairstyles like braids/twists, etc?

I know the braids would garner some attention, but I found it to be minimal, but this was in Japan (not Tokyo, obviously--no one gets a second look there). I think being a towering big girl of 5'6 and brown-skinned was enough to stand out.

What straight styles have you already experimented with while in Taiwan?

Several other posts I have stated I live and die by a braid out ^.^. But I also don't like the shrinkage that happens because of the high dews. Like I said I am just tucking my hair away for now it's no biggie to me. Usually I wear my hair in a bun or pony puff while in Taiwan. So far for straight styles just different length wigs that were different colors. I have also done my yarn twists and braids. I have also used curlformers

@mcc it's starts on Monday.

I'm going to a Yelp event by myself because my friend bailed and it's too late for anyone else to RSVP. I hope I have fun. Lately I've been functionally depressed and tired. My respiratory issues have resurfaced because of a bad remodeling job at work that has dust in the air. Hopefully I have fun. If not, it's just $5. :-)

My friend started a go fund me account for her business. I have not donated. I want to and I don't want to at the same time. She needs to raise a larege sum of money in a short time to keep her business from closing. I just don't think the amount in the time frame is realistic.That amount of money is loan, secomd mortgage amount of money.I feel like anything I could afford to give would be like nothing. I think if shehad said she was trying to raised at least $5,000 less it would be easier. She doeshave some friends I know who are related to rich Hollywood stars.
Can you talk to her about that? Would she listen?
