ummm.. are y'all tryna tell me that you can actually see something in those pics in that thread?! theyre so close, i thought she was bald until i saw she was 11 mos natural.

So I consider myself a foodie. I like to go to different restaurants and try out different things on the menu. Some of these places are pretty expense but my DH indulges me. Now when I go to these places I don't think about who I may see. The thing is for the most part I don't see people who look like me. My DH always says, "You know how to pick em!" Just wondering why I don't see more people of color at these places. Maybe it's where we live....
So I just got to the part in Bones where Hodgins and Angela get married.

I am so happy for him because he's been hurting for seasons, but I think my heart broke a little.

Wow minthe. I'm a sunni and this hatred being spewed is crazy. I believe according to the Quran that Jews are ppl of the book and should be treated with respect. Maybe I'm not a normal muslim but I don't agree with your stance on Jewish ppl. Its hatred and thats not what I believe and its not what I teach my children.

I'm disgusted by that post.
About my hair:

I've been trying not to say anything about the hair type threads.

They're becoming ridiculous now, but some of the blame lies at the feet of NC, it's not all newbies being crazy. The hair type system is confusing enough, but add to that the fact that naturally curly's definition and refrence pictures suck, and ya damn straight people are confused. Heck I'm confused. I've decided I don't want to know anymore, my big question now is about porosity, since I already know I have thick coarse hair.

Like the defination of 4b as having a z-pattern that doesn't interlock and give you curls. Someone here once asked in a thread I started "i thought the z-pattern theory had been disproven" how the heck was I or anyother newbie for that matter, suppose to know that?!! All I had to go on was NC's sucky definition describing a z pattern. If it has been disproven, it should be taken down.

And the fact that the hair boards are arranged by hairtype, so a newbie would feel they needed to know there type to fit in. Another thought I walked away from the thread I just mentioned with was that you guys kept telling me hairtype means nothing and to focus on porosity. Well if that's the case why is there even a 4a board? Why break up the bosrd via curl pattern and then chastise people for wanting to know their's ? I mean if this was your first visit to CT wouldn't you think hair type must be important once you saw the titles of the different boards? just saying

In any event..Sienna I am very very sorry that you and I had the spat we did. I had NO idea that you were a Muslim or I would have handled that a lot differently. I have a great respect for Muslims and like I said in the thread I have never EVER met a Muslim that I didn't like or respect. I consider you all my cousins..but I guess technically we'd be half siblings..considering Ishmael and Issac were brothers. I'm personally of the opinion that Jews and Muslims should share the land. We did it before and it worked fine..before the United Nations got involved.

Anyway, I would not have gotten snippy. I've been wanting to PM you and apologize but it kept slipping my mind. So I hope it's not to embarrassing that I've decided to apologize to you publically. But I felt you were owed that.. I hope you can accept my apology and we can start fresh. If not, I understand and I respect your decision.

Sure..it's great to know the hair type for hair styling. I'm surprised NC hasn't pushed hair texture and hair porosity to the for front. That's one of the reasons I love Live Curly Live Free and try to tell NOOBS about it..because it's much more helpful.

they really should go ahead and sticky a "What is my hair type" thread. and in the OP just explain that hair type isn't the most important thing. everyone wins.

or just do away w/ the way this board is structured, as i've suggested numerous times.

in any case, imma find something to clown about, b/c i'm an arsehole.

The structure of NC.com definitely accounts for some of the curl pattern obsession among new comers. I just remembered that I made a thread about this a while ago:

Site's Emphasis on Curl Pattern

Yep, still stand by it.
