They say truth is stranger than fiction and I promise this really just happened to me. I went to a bar to hear a friend play. I'm standing there minding my own business when I hear someone say the n-word. I look up and there is two redneck looking people talking. So the guy's and my eyes meet and he knows I overheard. Whatever. I turn back and start minding my own business again. This fool comes up to me starts tryingt to tell me how he's sorry but he doesn't like hip hop music. Then he starts saying he doesn't like country either or some sh*t. I say that's nice and politely excuse myself and go talk to my friends. But the story doesn't end there. Later this fool actually starts flirting with me. Telling me how beautiful I am, how sexy I am, how I have a pretty smile. Wants to know if I've got a man. I'm thinking this man knows I heard him using the n-word, does he really think I'm just going to forget all about that and hook up with him??? WTF? I really wasn't insulted by the n-word. I was insulted by him thinking I'm as stupid as he is.

God I love a good romance novel.

But I wonder if that makes me expectant to things that I can't have? I want to be loved by a man who's passionate but possessive and who's not afraid to say that this "mine".

Sure mind blowing nookie is great too but do men like that actually exist???

So I watched every single second of Whitney Houston's funeral with my husband.

Kevin Costner was wonderful. I think Nippy would have loved it.

Stevie Wonder... Come on..it's Stevie couldn't be anything else but amazing.

Bebe and CeCe.. Wow. Bebe really touched my heart. What a BEAUTIFUL song he wrote! And he sang lovely. The story he told about how Whitney hooked them up when they were broke..true testament of her TRUE character..not this BS about her being a "crack head".

Donnie McClurkin...wow. Excellent!

Alicia Keyes.. I personally can't stand her but for that time she sat their and cried before she sang and talked about how her and Whit called eachother "Mi-ma" I respected her. She sang okay..but I give her a pass. It was clear she was upset and it was obvious that she wasn't faking. But lawd..I know she was very uncomfortable..that low cut top drove her nuts cause her bra kept showing and she kept trying to hide the white bra..po thang.

Pat Houston.. I don't like ANYTHING she said. There has always been something about Pat that has NEVER set well with me. I felt like Pat tried to make this ish about her. And all that BS she said about Whit and all the thank yous..that wasn't her damn place. Let Cissy and Bobbi Kris do that..and I notice how the hell she FORGOT to mention Bobbi Kris while she was up there...telling Whit's bidness. Pointing to Whit's weight gain.. um SO! And acting like Cissy didn't know how Whit was..rolling my eyes.

Cissy...wow. She got very emotional when Stevie Wonder sang and a few times after she had to put her head down. It was terrible. It was so so sad to see her have to walk behind her only daughter's casket. Her Nippy. SMDH.

Bobbi Kris..seemed to be holding up well...which surprised me. I was glad to see she was doing better.

Marvin Winans.. I actually didn't think he gave a Eulogy. He just basically preached. It was okay.

Bobby Brown.. I felt like he was done real wrong. Bobby and a few of his other kids were invited by the Houston family to attend the funeral. Bobby gets there and they ask him and his family to move three separate times. They kept re-seating him. He went to comfort his daughter Bobbi Kristina and security wouldn't allow him to speak to his OWN CHILD. That upset him greatly..so he decides to leave with his other kids. Al Sharpton goes outside to speak to Bobby..to calm him down. Al Sharpton tweets (thank goodness for my hubster's quick thinking to check twitter) that he diffused the situation and calmed Bobby down. Bobby later releases a statment and explains what I just stated above. He said he was VERY upset..I really don't blame him.

Ray J: When the pallbearers hoisted the casket up on their shoulders (the church gasped)..Ray J jumped up and touched it..held his hand on it..he cried and sobbed so hard. His body was shaking. They walked out with Whitney's casket. He sat down..laid his head on the edge of the pew and cried hard. Brandy just rubbed his back..as he continued to cry.

We also watched BET Remembers Whitney..it was very nice. I have to say.. BET really pulled it together for Whitney. Glad to see that..we watched the funeral on BET as well because they seemed to have the most clear and crisp picture of the funeral.

We also watched the 2012 BET Honors (I know..I know..BET..eyeroll) that was fantastic. My goodness Maya Angelou is brilliant..and Michelle Obama..my stars.. can't no one in the WORLD tell me she's not the most lovely (inside and out) FLOTUS that this country has EVER EVER had..she was just..I was proud. Very proud !
