Yes! That is the exact shade of bare minerals I wear too and it is awesome!!!! Sometimes I need a heavier concealer under my eyes and what works well for me is the black opal concealer...the one in the lipstick tube. Dot that on with my concealer brush and apply my BM and my face looks flawless!

This winter i mixed it with Keihls sodium pca moisturizer (it's thier oil free moisturizer) and apply it as a tinted moisturizer on days when I don't need much coverage...or use that as a base and apply my BM powder over it for SUPER industrial strength coverage!

Well back from synagogue. At least my butt doesn't have to go tomorrow..but it's right back on Sunday for Hebrew school drop off and our Hadassah luncheon. I'm sorry but I can't WAIT until the Summer so some of this ish can calm down. Or maybe I'm just crabby because I'm crampy and my damn wig was a little too tight today! Seriously..them damn adjustable straps can be murder on a sista if they too tight! Couldn't tell me I wasn't cute though.. I was rocking the Kelly Rowland look to synagogue. I might of looked like an old hag earlier but I turned into a million dollaz for service!!! I wore this almost exact look:

Now today I wore my minerals and mixed it with the Jojoba oil moisturizer and it's been holding up good so far..but I mixed quite a bit of the moisturizer with it. And I have to say it looks better and feels better than the liquid. I feel like I don't have anythingon my face and it does feel like I can smile without my darn face cracking today.. ROFL!

I don't know much about Keihls at all.. but I need a darn sunscreen too. I had been using the Olay one for sensitive skin with SPF and just purchased a new bottle yesterday. Didn't use it today though.. LOL!

But yeah girl.. I can't deal with that old liquid paint stuff... mineral makeup is where it's at for me.

Ok...go to Nordstrom and pick up some samples from Keihls....the sodium pca oil free moisturizer and the liquid sunscreen. I highly recommend them both for oily acne prone skin! The liquid sunscreen is a bit expensive...but you literally only need a tiny bit...my small bottle has lasted me 6 months with daily application! Also in the summer you can wear it along w/o a moisturizer under it and it has just enough moisture without being too much!

I have to especially recommend the liquid sunscreen to my darker skinned dolls because I always have a problem with sunscreens leaving a "whitish cast" on my skin...not this. I found out later the white cast is because of the titanium dioxide and other "physical sunscreens" that are used in the formulation. Keihls doesn't use those so it sinks right into my skin and doesn't leave a cast. Love that stuff! I'm headed to Georgetown tomorrow to the Keihls store to pick up more of both because I'm almost out.

I turned orange every time with all of the liquids I've tried one EXCEPT the Cover FX, but I don't use that as all over foundation unless I need more coverage and even then, I don't typically do all over face. I use a tinted moisturizer mostly, but I've been eyeballing mineral makeup. I've always worried about having a powdery look, but I guess I could spray on some MAC Fix+ like I do now to get a more satiny finish.

Does anyone know of an alternative to the Fix?

I used some MAC products MANY years ago when I was maybe 19 or 20 and I've boycotted them every since and refuse to use any MAC. But dang...people act like it's the best makeup in the entire universe displayed!

Marah,I use the Cover FX for concealer, Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer and then set with MAC Mineralized Skinfinish. After I set with the Skinfinish, I use the MAC Fix+ to get a satiny finish (a natural glow). I would experiment with other things, as long as I don't look powdery or dewy (which on my oily skin looks shiny and extra oily), it doesn't break me out and it doesn't oxidize. I've used the Fix+ for years since I had my makeup done for my wedding and that's what was used by the artist after the powder was applied to set the makeup and give it a nice satiny finish. I fell in love with this and I've done this every since. I've heard that rosewater could be a dupe, but I have no idea where to find rosewater or if all rosewater is created equal, so I keep using Fix+ until I find something else.

I'm not the MAC is all that chick, but I do like what I use from MAC.

I heard about this stuff called Skindinavia and they say it's the bomb dot com all OVER Youtube. It's expensive but I'm about to try it.. it's supposed to be better than the Fix plus.

Yes I heard it's great for us oilies, but have you tried oil rinsing? Im trying it now and in the few days Ive been on it, my skin isn't as much of an oil slick, AND it's great at getting makeup off and cleansing in one go.

After reading NCC's comment and someone else who talked about concealer and mineral foundation being enough, I decided to do ny concealer with bare minerals and I have to say THIS ROCKS! The same coverage as my cream foundation, but more classic and clean of a look. I dunno how else to describe it. This is me today and I'm loving it!

Now why didn't I know minerals helped the complexion? It wasn't doing much for me before...

Damn that's tough! HH is more multipurpose though. It's not a great moisturizer though. What do you need most?
