I actually want to blow dry my hair so that I can trim it thoroughly. My hair has been a hassle to detangle lately. And I kind of want to do a flexi rod set. I've tried to do it with my hair in twists and I've tried to do it while my hair is just loose and damp and both times were epic fails.

i need to learn to keep my mouth shut about my in laws. :/ i do love them, i just have a completely diff view on matters than them and want diff things than they did, the prob is that i keep feeling the need to voice that :/ then instantly regret the word vomit! hormones

They should give you a timer for waiting rooms so at least you have a rough estimate of how long you have to wait.

I love being natural. I love that being natural is not longer as "taboo" as it once was and is being embraced. But I didn't go natural because it's okay now or jumped on the "bandwagon" so please don't group me with that label.

it kills me when i see a grown arse, able bodied man RUN to the other side of a train car to sit down, when they see a pregnant woman right in front of the seat. THEN they continue to sit even after it's blatantly obvious that theyve seen the pregnant woman (even if you give he BOD that they didnt see her in the first place). that's so triflin'.

i just give them the death stare until they get the f*ck up. i have no issue with making you feel uncomfortable.

also, i find it interesting that a woman will ask another woman to give up her seat, and ignore the grown ass men just chillin'. like, we're all annoyed about him sitting there, so why not say something to HIM?!

I was going in with my gf last night at the salon.

Just pissed me off about how she keeps harping on one of our coworkers natural hair,

She keeps saying it looks dry and nappy and beady beads.

I said if you think her hair looks like that you must thing mine looks like that.

She goes on to say, shes a big girl and it doesnt fit her. All people arent made to have natural hair

This from a woman who has no edges from lace fronts. Shes like you were mad at me when i permed my hair,

I replied no I wasn't but It was good enough for you when you were begging me for products to grow it back.

Our other coworkers hair is in a TWA thats growing. Its cute and she dresses it up with bows and accessories. I can tell its getting to her though because shes talking about getting a lacefront now.

Smh the pressure these people give folks

I can give two flying Figs what anyone says about my hair. I LOVE it.

My gf is like this is serious youre catching feelings. I replied im not going to sit here and let you dog her out. Her hair looks a million times better than it ever looked and if you dont like it , thats your view dont make the woman feel bad about it.

+1. Though I have to add that sometimes the women automatically offer the pregnant woman or old woman a seat with the able bodied man sitting right next to her. I always offer my seat and then wonder why the able bodied guy sitting next to me couldn't do the same. Courtesy and manners are generally lacking today but what is up with men in particular regarding this scenario?

Never said that there was a reason to feel that way but when someone notices that you're natural it's "Oh, my so and so went natural because she saw<insert youtube guru here>". Or they ask you for transition stories, product recommends, hair type etc then try to include you in their clique. What I'm trying to avoid is what you just mentioned which are those who went natural because it's the "thing" to do right now, and or then proceed to make it a status symbol. It's hair. It's MY hair. Sure I meet interesting people because of it and I get help form NC and other places but I'm not making it into more than that. That's my issue.
