The New & Improved Say It I Dare You

I guess I don't understand why people who find this board so distasteful always...lurk and then come out ever so often to put folks on blast? Never fails. 4a is like hell in the summer, to hear them tell it. Yet, they always find themselves here. There's something to that, but I'll leave it alone, lest I sound "angry".

That is all.

Why give so much of your life and energy responding negatively to something that you're so tired of (what is my hair type threads, what color am I? What color is my SO? What's my curl pattern?, etc). There are so many things that could pose as interesting conversation, but I think there's a lot of lurkers here who just won't post for fear of being attacked. Not all topics are started with the intent to polarize, but that's what happens here, it seems. I get the impression that there are a few regulars here who are just mad a lot...at who and what, I don't know, but they often come off as angry.

Well call me whatever the hell you want because you even having the ovaries to type that crap out makes me angry. It's hella telling that Non-Hair never gets called out like this. Isht is POPPING over there. Fortunately for them though, there's no stereotypical equivalent to "angry black women" for women of other races....although I'm curious, how would you label the BLACK women on that board who volley back and forth with their non-black counterparts? Would you just call the blacks angry and ignore the heated responses from everyone else? Or would you have to leave your stereotypes behind and realize that women of EVERY RACE can be angry??????

C'mon son. And please don't come at me talking about you're black. You can be black and still believe this degrading hype.

On the other hand, if I've somehow read that mess out of context (perhaps you meant it ironically--*extreme benefit of doubt*), I apologize.

The thing is, not everyone visits every section NC. I've only hung out in the 3c/4a/4b sections of NC since I joined this board in 2005. I've probably only posted outside of these boards, what, 3 times MAX. I do know that it wasn't always this way. The posters in 3c/4a boards were more welcoming at one time. So, your point about what everybody else is doing is irrelevant. It doesn't change what's happening HERE...on the 4a section of NC...NOW. Sure, there are white woman on NC who are bullies, but what does that have to do with the black women in 4a who are being bullies? I just don't get it.

If the shoe doesn't fit, why are you wearing it?

Does it hurt you that I asked about why?
