I wish I was comfortable showing my forehead. I try to always have bangs or wear a headband to cover it. When I was younger, my mom always commented on my forehead and nose. I was told to wear bangs and she would squeeze my nose to try to make it smaller. Kids didn't help either when it came to my forehead.

I know it has been accepted as a "word" in dictionaries of today, but so has bootylicious & jiggy. Just say regardless. You can save yourself a syllable by using regardless.
Regardless is one word that I neither understood nor used in a sentence. I just don't understand where/how it fits.

@ Sweetmx85 I hate cancer too! It's hit home too many times. You've had it rough (putting that mildly) for some time now. I pray everything gets better for you and your family (close and extended). Stay strong during the storm, but I know it's easier said than done.

I'm so very sorry about your friend...I hate cancer too. It's insane how fast everything happens. It's like, you're better off not knowing, and as soon as you find out its all down hill from there. That's how it happened with my dad as well.

I'm not sure how this sounds, but I hope it is quick for your friend. My dad was sick for 8 months and he was miserable and depressed the entire time. He hated every moment of it. As hard as it was to see him go, it was almost a relief because the father I knew was gone months before.

I wish you, your friend, and his family comfort.

Stop it..that "word" is brilliant. I love "irregardless". I love when people (specifically black women) get mad and drag it out ... "Well.. IR-RE-GGGGGGGARD-Lesssssssss". It drives my husband nuts though..he blinks several times when he hears it. He's writes and speaks very formally (total nerd) unless he's joking.

I make terrible grammatical mistakes online and I'm employed (run my own business). In formal writing I use spell check and proof read several times. Seems rather rude to me to expect professionals and people I claim to respect figure out my spelling and grammatical errors. On the internet.. I could not care less. Which is probably rather mean-spirited. But I'm part black so.. I guess it's the angry black woman side of me to blame.

Ty. the worse part is seeing ppl you care about hurting and theres nothing you can do to fix it. were going to see him when my sister gets off work. i dont even know what to say or do but i know ill regret NOT going if i dont go. im afraid im gonna cry when i first see him and i dont think thats a comforting thing for ppl to cry when they see you when your trying to be strong.

No, people say it. I was in a meeting one time and our lead (a black man) said it...and I just cringed. I don't care if it's in the dictionary - if you use that word at work, I'm giving you the eye.

why is it when you get dressed decently like a normal human, people change their plans? I'm just gonna stay in sweats/pj pants for life, I only get hit on when I'm in troll mode anyway.
