why can't I find anywhere to live?!?!?!?
It's either too expensive
or too much of a risk of dying at a young age or having my car broken into.

I don't want to live here, I mean I can if necessary, but roommates are so annoying!! Why can't I be a normal person, who doesn't get annoyed with people so quickly.

No heating to pay in NYC, the transportation, the access to just about everything, often 24 hours a day, the ability to just walk anywhere, and so much more. Not to mention that I feel way safer out and about at 1-2 AM in NYC than I've ever felt at 8-9 PM in other places.

And roommates are not for everyone. Even living with friends doesn't necessarily work out. My friend and I were roommates and now we're basically not even friends. I realized I need to live by myself.

Oooookay.

It's so easy to think make up excuses not to go to class when half asleep. Sigh.
I'm really getting tired of the virtual world. Too often I see people interpreting things with snark when there is none, thinking someone is trying to accuse them of something, or pulling out ONE phrase to find some negativity without focusing on the entire post or point. It's like people just want to get on the internet to act fonky.

And if anyone wants to misinterpret my post and think I'm being PA about this thread, I'm not only talking about this board (and yes, I see it on this board all the time), but Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, blog comments, etc. This is a general comment. People seem on edge all the time, like they are just waiting for a reason to be mad. I've done it too, and have started to catch myself to ask for clarification before throwing out the GIFs or giving the e-side eye, especially if it's someone I am e-familiar with.

Everything I find is either, too expensive because its close to my school, or too far away from my school. Not that being close matters but I'm not trying to be out in the middle of nowhere, or somewhere I'm not familiar with. I still want to remain close to college people, I just don't want to live with them...

I have found a decent one bedroom near the place I already live, decently priced, but it's outdated looking from the pictures online, and I found a two bedroom in the same complex for 100 more dollars (which is the same amount as the last resort 1 bedroom near the school that is nice (no patio...why do I want a patio?) and safe I know for sure) and it's renovated so it looks nice, only downside is its on the first floor, which is one way I wouldn't feel safe, especially if it has a patio on the first floor.

Yea my annoying a roommate we got along really great when I first moved in and we were really close, but then she drove me crazy and I'd be like "why are you so obsessed with me?" (I love to quote mean girls) I forgot when she went home over summer, but it's like, I've always been like this, I like to have friends but damn I don't wanna be around them 24/7. Even as a child I would beg my mom to not make me got to my friends house sometimes cause I just wanted to play sailor moon by myself.
Goodness... I don't think I've ever heard so much reporting on Florida news nationally since.. I don't even know. Now some boys in Florida were stranded because their coach got stopped for speeding ...dang.

Florida track athletes left stranded on side of road after coach
WTH? I'm more mad at the police than at the coach (though he's an idiot, too). Why would they leave a bunch of kids on the side of the highway? Don't they have some sort of obligation to make sure minors get safely home?

Heh, yeah, we had been friends since high and though we're FB friends now, we really don't have anything to do with each other. I ran into him once and it was pleasant enough, but yeah, our friendship is done. He annoyed the piss out of me while we were roommates and I'm sure I annoyed him, too.

ok why did dr miracle add the tingling feel to his new products?

in a way I like it but dang it is kinda strong, this leave in conditioner has so much slip my micro braids were singing and I didnt have to seal.

I like it because im skating and sweating but umm errrrr really dr miracles???

I can never understand this point of view. People don't see us all (black people) as animals because some black people act a fool. People see us all as animals because they WANT to. Because they're racist. Because they're ignorant.

Some white person is acting a fool somewhere every damn day. And yet, the world isn't pizzed at the entire white race because of her actions. Black people don't have the privilege of being seen as more than a monolith of negativity. And that's a problem caused by racism. Not by foolish black people.

We could wake up tomorrow and discover that every black person in the world was a literal saint. And we'd STILL have a ****ty reputation. Because racism and stereotyping isn't about what black people are DOING it's about what racists are IMAGINING and expecting.

I feel the same way when black people complain about getting poor service from waiters because some black people don't tip well. Instead of blaming the ignorant asz waiters for assuming that ALL black people are ****ty tippers they blame the black tippers! Sorry, but that's effing retarded. ****ty tippers are going to tip ****tily regardless of their race. And drunken criminals are going to do ****ty things regardless of their race.

It's pretty disheartening that a non-Black person would interpret the actions of a minority as the actions of a whole people. Anyone who does assume such a thing is more of an azzhole than the drunken thug. Thugs will be thugs and are called out on it. But we're somehow okay with letting the stereotyping racists slip under the radar.

No. But it is what it is. In the end, it doesn't matter if that video depicting those fools helps our cause or not, because certain people are still going to believe what they want to believe. Those fools have everything coming to them and they should get the maximum sentence allowed under the law.

When I was in HS and got into a top ten university via early decision, this guy I had known since elementary school and we used to compete with each other about grades (like, we would make fun of the other if they got a 99 on a test when our score was a 104 - yes, we were that nerdy) told me that I only got in because of affirmative action because one of our other good friends (a white girl) didn't get in and we had similar GPAs and test scores. We're still cool, but I'll never forget that he said that. It was a shining moment like, "Yep, thanks. I see how it is."
