Ooohh.. Football and some fun in San Antonio! Sounds good to me!!! Have fun Gretchen.

So back to business around here.. my hair is dry yall.. can anyone recommend any of the Curl Junkie products and Oyin or other good products from CurlMart for hair that is dry, medium porosity, only ever been dyed with a rinse, and is medium thick ?

Since I cut my hair all off.. it's not as porous as before (which I miss) but I just don't want to put any dye on my hair that will weaken it until it gets much much longer. So please help. Even drug store recs are fine as long as they are CG and fit for my hair type I described above.
I just went and purchased a mule... cuz my tongue/fingers are itching, but imma hold on tight.

Are you still there? I have a suggestion, and I mean no disrespect with it, but maybe you (or whoevers in charge) should consider getting a few more moderators. Because just this handful ain't cutting it. I can tell ya'll trying, but just 5 volunteers who mainly stick to their favorite spots and only ride in when a report button is clicked, is leading to abject chaos. Esspecially here in 4a. Where only one of the 5 of you frequent. And she is now busy with her new baby. So we are for the most part being unpoliced, things go way further than they need to.

I mentioned a few pages ago that I collect dolls as a hobby. My other main board is a AG doll collecting forum with over 1,000 members and 34 boards. How do they keep the peace? Every board has at least two mods, one for the day and one for the night. Again, all volunteers, but more of them. And when one has a reallife event (another girl over there recently had her first baby.) a 3rd mod is assigned to her board to help her out with the moderation duties.

They act fast over there. Ninja would have been disabled within half an hour. That's why when I first started posting here, CT was such a shock to my system. Over there we disscuss hot button issues all the time. There's a new race disscussion every couple of weeks (with American Girl dolls race is kind of hard to avoid.) but they are actual thought provoking disscussions, not the free for all over in non hair, because everyone knows they have to respect eachother because a mod is always near by.

I know ya'll are working hard, but sometimes moderation here does seem lax. The report button is helpful, but me personally I've only used it once. I'm the type of person (most of 4a seems to be the type of people) if I feel attacked, I'm going to defend myself, calling for help won't even occur to me at first. So it is helpful when a call isn't needed because the calvary has already arrived.

NaturalDoll, I think they said that they are looking into all of that but it is the weekend..people do stuff on the weekend. Give them a chance to all get together and talk.... LOL! I think by this coming week there will probably be some changes.

NaturalDoll, you might want to send that as a PM, too, just to be sure Gretchen sees it. I think we need more mods, too.

I will try a deep treatment. They did work well for me when I had long high porosity hair. I would use a deep conditioner mixed with a bit of oil. So I guess I'll do that again. I just wish I knew some decent products to use with my current hair..I'm just not used to having dry medium porosity hair so I don't know any seriously good product for that type of hair.
I'm just getting back on the boards after taking some time off to sleep.

Ninja is currently in time out.

If we can all do our best to get things back on track, I know we'd all be grateful.

After reading the "My struggle is deeper than that of your while entire race's" thread with a little T.M. Sprinkled in & waking up to read 9 pages on say it...I am appalled, shocked, saddened and impressed in that order.

4a is my favorite place to be & the say it thread is better than hot topics on the view because it can be so real & encouraging. I've gotten great advice here and had good & not so good discussions.

@JoSomebody that post was the truth & I will be taking that approach from this day forward.

@GAGirl09 I feel you're pain on UGA. I always told my family I will never go to Athens for any reason. I thought I was safe at GState but sure enough incidents of greeks who thought black face would be a good party theme told me different. They got a wake up call from the divine 9 though...legal action through the school.

@Marah you are who you are (btw thats a compliment). You are one of the few who can dish it and take it and many folks don't appreciate that. They prefer sugarcoating & sprinkles on top of their conversations. You are not mean, just real. You are the epitome of 4a and you need not be dared to say anything.

I'll pour out some morning coffee for ninjadog.

To the rest of you lovely ladies happy Saturday.
