It doesn't have to be bad at all.. it's all about perception. If you don't think it's "bad"..well then to you it's not and that's acceptable.

So why is it being discussed here as though it is? That's what I don't get. I am simply trying to understand the direction of these comments. My "perception" and understanding of the symbol is based off of historically accounted information. Just like we learn about the Egyptians and the Mayans and other people of the past and what their beliefs were.

If there are other interpretations of this symbol then I am interested to hear about them.

I wonder if they just like the idea of the symbols (their ancient historic meaning, which doesn't have anything to do with Satan) or if they are more interested in the satanic/occult side, or if they are just messing around because it's "cool".

I feel like a ton pagan symbols/gods have been misrepresented by society (especially when big 5 religions started gaining followers) so that people would give up their beliefs more easily.
I never noticed that about them, I always knew people said that illuminati b.s., interesting. Well lady gaga is allegedly in on it too.

And people really do misinterpret pagan things into being about satan, when it's not. Annoying much.

I don't know what they're trying to do, maybe they like it because it makes them seem mysterious and even more popular. Who knows, didn't kanye have a lyric about being in the illuminati but he didn't know what it was....

my sil's brother's friend (right?) got a scholarship to some big university (can't remember the name) in NY, and the coach was apparently in the illuminati, and was trying to get him to join, and so the boy ran away to africa (right..) and he came back with this mix tape and it's all about his experience with them trying to get him to join the illuminati I listened to it, um yea.... I was more annoyed that the boy gave up a full ride to this big time university, more than the illuminati, hell yea I'll join pay my tuition foo'

Personally.. I'm just making some observations based on what I've noticed about some celebrities. I meant exactly what I said about it.. no more and no less.

Other people... why they are discussing it how they are.. couldn't tell ya.

I think it's because even though you don't personally see it as bad, others do. Or some people don't think it is "bad" but still associate it with Satan because they are into all that stuff.

It's like if we were having a discussion about Jesus as the symbol for the son of God. Some people this he is, and some people think he isn't. Some people value the literal interpretation, others think of it as an allegory, and others think it's all a bunch of crap.

My father wanted all of us (myself and my 2 ratchet sisters) to have a family dinner in a few weeks with him. I told him that I am not sure if I want to go because my middle sister treats me horribly when he is not around because I am the baby and I have a different mother. She even picked a seafood restaurant, knowing that I am veggie and would not be able to order anything. I told him she has resentment; he said she is just jealous and she needs to get over it. He then said if I am uncomfortable then he can make up a random excuse and just cancel it altogether. I almost hit the floor laughing. If she knew that, she would hate me even more. Oh well. Maybe she should be nicer to me. *shrug* Yes, I am the favorite, but it totally comes with a price, and she doesn't see that. I have no motivation to help her get there either.

Forget the ponytail, I'll settle for two little pigtails at this point! (but I don't even have enough to do that yet)

Do you think there's an age when people are two "grown" to be wearing pigtails? I saw DenimPixie/Elle's that she had in a video and I thought they were cute, but then I see other grown women wearing them and they look silly...like they are trying to be young or trying to do that school girl sexy look.

Does anyone have any secrets for people over the age of 10 wearing pigtails? I know I should keep them low, but that's about it. I've seen some women pull it off very well.

(1) I love everything about that story. (2) I would join the Illuminati if they paid my bills. I may even make a mix tape saying I joined the Illuminati so they would pay my bills.

I find the whole conspiracy theory so interesting. I'm just shocked at all the hidden symbolism people can find to support their views. I'm just not smart enough to watch a music video, see an outfit and instantly connect it with other stuff.

And since we're on the topic, why would it bad for Jay Z and Beyonce to be in the Illuminati? No snark, just wondering. Like if those two really had plans to take over the world, is there a theory on how life would change if they did accomplish world domination?

Blame it on the cell phone...

I get that. I just wondered if there was some breaking news that I missed. It was mentioned in this thread before, and I'm not always in here to catch everything. If that's all it is, that's cool. Arbitrary is as arbitrary does

HAHAHH

yea, I don't know. Or care. They can do whatever, but isn't it supposed to be for smart people, and I'm not trying to hate, but I don't imagine celebrities to be the brightest scholars around.

Unless the illuminati has chapters like the music chapter, and they're members of it. I heard gw bush was in it too. (LAWD, or maybe it was like all the presidents are chosen by the illuminati) I love conspiracy theories....

I really want long hair, pigtails are all I can pull off on my lazy days right now. I hope there's no age limit. But I look young anyway without trying. Normally people think I'm somewhere between 16 and 18. With pigtails I get 14.

I seriously need to stay out of the hits/misses threads. It's making me want new hair products. Am I the only one with a product inventory spreadsheet in Excel? *hangs head in shame*

Have you ever tried to approach your half sister about this issue. Now I could be reading into this but it sure seems to me like you really don't want any problem..just respect shown to you. So I wonder if you invited her over to your home or maybe asked if you could visit her..even take her to a nice dinner and talk about things in a respectful and gentle way in order to show her that you don't want any problems and you'd love to have a nice relationship with her..and see if she'd be willing to do it. And of course explain to her how it feels like she treat you but in a way that's not just throwing accusations around that are hurtful.

It's difficult sometimes for children to accept other children that their parents have had after them..there is a big resentment there that doesn't always have to do with the later children. It's really the pain they felt because their parent either left, got another family, or just some other resolved issue with the parent they are taking out on the kid. But wait..I just realized who I am speaking to..you are about to be a psychologist for pete's sake..you know this..

Sorry Artemis.. like duh. I was just trying to help.

People always think I'm younger than I am too! I certainly can imagine the whole pigtail style making someone look even younger.

When I can make a ponytail, I might have to throw a party! lol. I don't mind my short hair, I'm just tired of the same old thing everyday. There's just not much that I can do with it at this length other than slapping on a barrette or a headband. Boring!

I'm kinda responding to all of u guys' relevant posts.

I don't think they are up to world domination lol but I think they want to be associated with whole idea of the elite illuminati in some way. (Like how they day many artists r simply puppets who send those msgs to the masses)

Do I think they have some pull? Nope. But do I think they can be of influence in a negative way? Yea.

I think that its the WAY a lot of those symbols are projected that makes me feel a certain type of way about the ppl who are doing it. Putting my own religious beliefs aside, if u put up the "rock on" hand symbol, I don't think automatically ur doing something sinister. However, I do think that just doin it out of no where in places that u won't see unless ur looking (like bey's me myself and i performance she was doing "devil horns" the WHOLE time) it makes me believe that u got something going on.

I never realized Alicia was so...slow and arrogant lol.

I wanted to know some other opinions cuz I didn't know if I was the only person irl who noticed this stuff.

I do think it is important to know, or at least have an idea of the meaning behind the lyrics ur singing because u never really KNOW if the songs ur reciting all day are actually completely against what u believe.
I know there is a diff between pagan and satanism (duh) and I feel like celebrities shouldn't disrespect other ppl's religions for their artistic motives.

Also I give side eye to lyrics that make NO logical sense but are so popular. And I just KNOW that beyonce was not trying to say algeba and just missed the R, she says it with such confidence that it doesn't seem like an error. I'm mean, they put it in the video.

In addition, the lady on the cross in her video is almost never shown. There was also a black baby carriage in the background when run the world first aired. Then it was changed to a white one...so they correct so called mistakes in videos.
