Yes. I was talking about the amount of coverage. I did a local version of the story after I talked my supervisor into it. In my state the only option for cap murder is death or life without parole. Juvies cant get death so if they are convicted the other sentence is automatic and now that is unconstitional. A judge must decide. The DA told me he is not sure if this is retroactive. If so the state will have to hold a lot of sentencing hearings.

Since Im posting like crazy because Im so happy to get my ap back.

But I have seen some light skin hateration. I have some darker relatives complain about other relatives favoring light skin but I never noticed any favortism. I dont see where I have received any advantage in society as a light to medium skin black woman. Some people in my family look what we call Light, Bright, Damn Near White and all they get is grief. In fact I have to bite my tongue when my cousin who is dark often goes into her story about how light people are supposed to have good hair but my aunt who was light had bad hair.

My mother told me when she was in HS the kids would say things like; "Oh,she could pass if her hair wasn't so nappy!" or "Mr Charlie must've been messing around in the hen house!"
Even her husband (pig vomit that he was) made a comment about her supposed to be having "good" hair when their son ended up nappy headed.
Anyway, my point is I often see these snarky comments mostly about light women or biracial women, but seldom about darker women (who aren't CRAZY in some way). A lot of times, I'm not impressed by the looks of the dark women held up as some kind of beauty. R Kelly's ex comes to mind. Talk about somebody looking like a man! I thought she looked just like R Kelly.
And that Viola woman who was in The Help. Though I thought she looked better without her helmet hair, I do not think she is pretty at all. Oh, but folks just gushed and gushed over her. And even though I love Alfre Woodard, not pretty to me.

FYI According to the Traditional Brown Paper Bag Test, Nicole Murphy qualifies as "Light skinned".

what is it about Bristol that makes these producers base these effed up shows in it? first, drug addled teens (the most lovable of which keep dying off *still traumatized*), then warewolves and vampires and such. the actual ppl of bristol much be pretty effed if folks seem to think nothing of basing all this stuff in their city.

is the city just really isolated or something? what gives (i'm asking you, british curlies)? i know it's not a small town b/c the vampire just said they avoid small towns.

i need some context on the whole making snide comments about light skinned ppl thing. now, are they making direct comments about light skinndedness specifically, or do they just happen to be making comments about ppl who are light skinned? b/c from your post, it sounds like they were just throwing shade at a woman who they think looks a bit mannish and happens to be light skinned. if that's the case, i mean, folks call teyana taylor a tranny too, along w/ a bunch of other brown and dark skinned celeb women. so why must it mean that they have some insecurities related to skin color specifically? maybe theyre just mad they couldnt be a model or w/e that lady is. idk, assuming theyre jealous of her being "light skinned" just seems to imply that lighter skin is something to be jealous of.

also, i find that commenters on most natural hair sites dont really have much sense, and seem to like finding ANYTHING to say something negative about . not pointt to make with that, just wanted to put it out there...

now, i'm just gonna lay here and pretend i'm falling asleep, or watch being human until my body decides to shut down.

So you've never seen or noticed bias for light skinned black folk. Ok...I find that hard to believe since you know what the daggone paper bag test is....I mean...that's like the prime example of prejudice and discrimination that butt hurt dark skinned black folk use when they talk about shadism in the community. In closing, is R Kelly's wife/woman this Chante Moore chick? I never heard of her either just googled (check me Marah!lolol)...if this is her...I think you're really struggling to find examples of "ugly dark chicks". That woman isn't stunning...but she definitely looks more like a woman than Nicole.
