I'm seriously considering selling my eggs to pay for grad school. I have 1 year left and can't get enough money together without being flat broke and living off scraps for a year. *sigh* it's tough decision time.

A friend of mine did it and the pay was great but the process was rough on her! She's actually done it more than once though, so that says something as well.

I not trying to get you to change your mind or anything...it's just that usually when I hear people say this, they don't realize all the drama involved until later on.

It's not just that he said it, he's giving millions of dollars to support anti-equality groups and legislation.

Denying business permits does seem shady, but I don't think they want their cities to help fund bigotry. I doubt that will uphold if Chick fil A really really wants to open a location there.

I haven't been in Chicago since this whole thing blew up, but the one that's already there gets decent business. Chicago's rules and stuff confuse me with the Alderman business.

I don't know how they run their company but by far CF has the best friendliest staff among those type franchises.

IMO governments (local, state, and private) waste so much money on stupid sh*t that I am not trying to hear any concerns about where the tax dollars go. If Chicago officials had any sense they would have kept quiet and made up a bogus reason for denying the permit instead of telling everyone they plan to discriminate. A lot of people don't rent to or hire blacks and Latinos but they don't make an announcement about it.

As far as considering the source. A Chick-fil-a top business man was the one who made the statement and opened them up to all the scrutiny. They'be been caught in lie after lie and they are proud of donating to the hate groups...so, we have it straight from the party in question.

I'm only speaking for myself here...Chick-fil-a is yummy. I loved their chicken nuggets when I was little. However, a person will always be more important than one chicken sandwich. Yeah, the groups that they donate to don't oppress me but I would consider myself selfish to say "Oh, you don't have equal rights...that's too bad but this chicken is the bomb!" I can get a chicken sandwich anywhere.

To flip the script...if Mcdonalds announced the donated to the KKK ( but black people can still come into the store, get served, and give them money), I certainly wouldn't be eating there anymore. To bad for the Ronald Mcdonald House charity and all the other "great" things they did.

I feel like I'm in a position in history to make a difference for an oppressed group and I'm going to do my part. ( That doesn't just mean boycotting the chain, I've been pro gay rights since I was a kid and I've been active in the cause). I have heterosexual priveledge and I feel like the very least I could do is get my chicken elsewhere. It's not really all about me and my tastebuds at this point. It's about my fellow human beings. Again, for me...that's just how I feel.

As far as friendly service goes...people can smile in your face and then stab you in that back ( or donate to organizations that will do it for them...literally).

My city and many others donate to the Boys Scouts, an organization that refuses to gave gay troops leaders. I dont hear any mayors wanting to kick them out of the city. What about the little kids overseas in the sweat shops making these designer clothes? Where are their rights? People are still buying the stuff. There are migrant kids in the US who pick your tomatoes in the hot sun all day when they should be in school. Where are their rights? Believe me. People look the other way rather than give up their comforts all the time. I don't understand how some people can be so concerned and some aspects of human rights and not others. People latch on to the big news story, shout about in protest and in a few days they have forgotten about it and are back to comfy life.
I never stopped eating Cracker Barrell either when that went down.

I couldn't do it. I'm already anticipating being in way more debt than I'm in now anyway so the pay off isn't worth the risks and other things.

Two of the consumers on my caseload like eachother. Omg it's so cute I can't stand it. He's all asking for advice on how to court her. She likes him b/c he doesn't harass her like the other boys (shew high functioning and attractive. You wouldn't know she was a consumer until she starts talking).

OMG
NPR story about Gabby's hair.

Black women...you need to be ashamed of yourselves...you relaxed, weave wearing heffas (yes I said it).

Review

The Jewish community ain't checking for Drake.

Kanye is not the intellectual rapper he used to be. ("truthfully he used to rhyme like common sense, but he did 5 mil. He ain't been rhyming like common since."

Hip hop was intentionally dumbed
down for profits (i knew that)

Too short was a persona (that doesn't change his disrespect toward women. Other than "gettin it", I don't like his music but I do love me some project pat & 3 6 mafia).

Its disrespectful to say "females". (tested dh & he passed but I say females a lot. I need to stop)

1 Mango does not make mango butter

Chic-Fil-a wants to pay the gay away because Obama is pro gay marriage
(I'm going to get my chicken biscuit, sweet tea & waffle fries either way).

Did I miss anything? I love this thread.

I'm cashing out
About my hair:
weekly shampoo-HE Honey I'm Strong
daily conditioner-HE Honey I'm Strong (use as li)
go to style-Pocahontas braids
So I looked it up and boy do I wish I didn't. I haven't been paying any attention to the Olympics. Today I watched Serena's tennis match with someone from Denmark (?) and it was awesome, but that's all I've seen.

Anyway, Gabby Douglas and her hair are an issue. I can't help it. I am embarrassed. I found myself trying to dig up these offensive pictures of Gabby's hair and I can't find any example of "ratchetness". I'm confused as to what caused the uproar and I'm ashamed that instead of celebrating her accomplishments (which people who are into the Olympics like that, or are patriotic of their country, should be doing; rooting for the US) people are focusing on some hair.

I did come across this twitter snapshot that has these folks names appearing.

People like them should be put on blast and criticized, not Gabby.

I LOVE MANGOES!!!!!!!! YUM

I need to pick some up so that I can make my summer treat. Mango cardamom ice cream!
Hm. Maybe its just me then. It took me the longest to figure out what did it. I tested it again on a spot on the inner corner of my lip n sho nuff it felt hard and flaky but did flake. And kind of itch. Then when it goes away it make that spot dark for a while til the new skin comes up.
I gotta peel it n wash my hands before I eat em.

well the oil comes from the kernel not the peel

but only way to know is to try it. Try it on your hand or leg before your scalp.
