I think karma is getting me for hating my previous job because this job search has been very disappointing. I can't take this anymore!!!

Ok. I have a question that may be TMI (but it's mild)

I use a deodorant that I LOVED before. I get it from the local co-op (healthfood market). Now, it's not working. I don't think I've changed anything. It's 2:40pm and I can smell my funk. It's not bad (not smelly at all, but not fresh like I just got out the shower, which I'm used to at this time of day), but I should not be smelling myself at all. Is it possible that the deo has stopped working with my body chemistry?
They are surprised because this is not probably not the first time he has done something similar to this and gotten away with it. Or he may have done other criminal activities and nothing happened to him in the past. That type of behavior doesn't just happen one day. It escalates over time. We are all familiar with the "look the other way" mentality in regards to athletes.

Lol.

But I will take your advice and follow up. I've been applying to a lot of hospital jobs and after checking the job board I'm noticing that the positions I've applied for are still up there. I'll ask if the position has been filled and express my intrest. I know some employers hate follow up calls though.

If it's a baking soda deodorant I can get away with not shaving that often.

Could that be a factor?

I wouldn't rule out your body chemistry not working with the scent though. What's the scent like?

Yes, definitely follow up. I don't know about employers not liking followup calls, but you know, you'd rather followup than not. IMO

about the deo thing. I'm not freshly shaved. I get very little armpit hair (I know TMI, deal with it lol...jp...no really) but I haven't shaved in FOREVER!--bec I don't get much hair. But that's probably it. Thanks Coco! I'll get a razor on my way home --that's how much I don't shave, I don't need a razor constantly in my house.

This is the deo Crystal Crystal Essence Mineral Deodorant Roll-On Chamomile and Green Tea -- 2.25 fl oz - Vitacost I LOVE IT!!!!!

We gotta start making these dudes accountable, and if it ends up costing more than what they're willing to pay, so be it. It'll make a splendid life lesson for the next dude who thinks his athletic ability is more important than his character.

Yeah..well there are tons of examples. Furthermore, this dude DID kidnap and assault a young lady. He deserved punishment. I was just trying to convey that I don't get why he or his peeps were so shocked.

Why was it that after I chopped my hair short last year and moved to a new job, 50-leven (yes, it was that many) black women came out of the woodwork to try and "teach" me how to care for my natural hair? People decided I needed help because my hair was only 4 inches long and kinky. All I heard was "carol's daughter" this and "Africa's best" that. And of course the famous, "I don't relax my daughter's hair so I know how to do yours. You need ____." 15 months later, I have about 12 inches of hair, most of them are at the same length or balder, and they no longer try to "teach" me anything.

Yesterday someone gushed about how cute my "mixed" babies were going to be after seeing a picture of me and my white boyfriend. I also had someone "mistakenly" make the comment that biracial babies were prettier than black babies. Whether its meant as a compliment or insult it feels hurtful when people start telling me that a mixed baby is somehow better or by default more attractive. Regardless of what our kids will look like if we have them, they will have 100% of my DNA and 100% of his. So I will never understand why some people love to attribute beauty solely to "white" genes. I'm just tired of people pushing their colorism on my hypothetical children.

Why do women get so insecure that they have to try to campaign to humiliate other women? True story: Educated women know that hair growing on a vagina is not dirty or against good hygiene. Needless to say, ignorance is rampant. So we all use public showers, so women see eachother all the time, and apparently a female was going around telling males that another female doesn't shave down there. I also had a woman see me undress and wait until i turned and and got in the shower, then complain (loud enough for me to hear) about how she "can't understand how someone could go around not shaving," and it's so "dirty" and she keeps shaven to please her man," yada yada. For why? We are deployed; people are getting blown up down the street and you are concerned about what's between some other girl's legs? Effing idiot.

I really needed to let all that out, Phew...
