Battle Royale is crazy. I think its more like lord of the flies so far. I see the similarities to hunger games but its not as deep.

I hope I get this job. This is the second phone interview I've had and I've been applying for jobs for months. But if I don't get it I can't beat myself up about it. I'll just have to keep trying.

Eta: decaf has some caffeine so its a good swap to wean with but if you want to quit caffeine altogether you have to cut out decaf too.

Well I drink iced tea ALL. THE. TIME. Not giving it up. I feel like I drink enough water for balance. IMO if a person likes coffee...hey drink it. Just drink a lot less of it and add more water to your diet. I'm not into the whole deprevation living...I just live by moderation. For example: Instead a whole piece of cheesecake..I have half of a regular slice. And I eat healthy 90% of the time and junk 10% of the time. It works like a charm and has for many years.

Marah, I think you're getting lazy. I've seen way longer posts from you than that.

I should decrease my caffeine dependency but I probably won't till I'm 40.

Second week of my new job tomorrow. Blehhh

I'm just going to try to have a positive attitude and remember that tomorrow is the start of a new week.

I will do my best, work faster, and pray I don't get fired!

Just had my first meeting today. I didn't it some b/c my charting spirit guide isn't here today. It went pretty well.

I do think I'm developing a reputation for worrying too much around here. I feel like ppl say "it's okay" or "don't worry to me a lot". I'm just not tryna get fired for small stuff

Frankly, no surprise to me there.. a lot of white guys think certain black chicks are hot they just don't have the chutzpah to get with one. Societal pressures are a sun of a gun. And yes.. I know Mindy Kaling isn't black.

Not surprising. Serena and Venus Williams faced the same kind of drama. I read they were called the nword several times by other athletes.

Gabby Douglas Tells Oprah: "I Was Bullied," Called "Slave" by Gymnasts in Virginia During Early Training - UsMagazine.com

Gabby Douglas languished and suffered as a young gymnast in her native Virginia Beach, Virginia -- where she was taunted by fellow gymnasts, sometimes even with racial slurs.
Now 16 and in possession of two gold medals, Douglas (with mom Natalie Hawkins) told Oprah Winfrey on Sunday's Oprah's Next Chapter about the less-than-ideal atmosphere at a local gym. "One of my teammates was like, 'Can you scrape the bar?' And they were like, 'Why doesn't Gabby do it, she's our slave?'"

"I definitely felt isolated, I felt why am I deserving this? Is it because I'm black? Those thoughts would go through my mind," said the champ, who became the first-ever African-American to win the coveted All-Around trophy. The teasing got so bad that, at age 14, Douglas threatened to quit the sport altogether if they couldn't move away and find a new coach.

"I felt like I was bullied and isolated from the group, and they treated me not how they would treat the other teammates," Douglas admitted.
Today was my 10-yr anniversary at work. All these people stopping by my office has me wishing I had worn better lipstick and shoes today lol.
