My friends tried to get me to go to a Prince concert years ago and I didn't because I was so tired. I have regretted since. They said it was awesome. He did an acoustic version of LRC and they said it felt like an intimate performance even though it was at a coliseum.
When I was little I would go around singing LRC with no real idea what the song was about. Took years for me to figure out it wasn't about a car and those Trojans running free weren't horses. LOL

I've only seen him in concert one other time and that was during his Diamond and Pearls tour in 1992/1993....lawrd I can remember what I and my sister wore. It was the best concert next to the Janet Jackson Velvet Rope Tour.

Do men even dress like this, in the states? He looks straight out of Europe - like the guys from Gucci when they opened a store near my work. The pic to the left is my fav... impeccable. I bet birds was fallin' from the sky, the day of that photo shoot. The suit fits his body perfectly...I'm sure a lot of that has to do with the fact that it ain't a "Men's Suit Depot" special. Denzel has a great body underneath, though. Yum, yum.
Men need to get back to wearing suits - the more casual work environment has dulled my senses. Most of the guys in my area of the country dress like they're about to go cut the grass. They only dress up for super special occasions, and even then, they're often not well put together. A cheap suit is deadly.
Oh yeah, Happy New Year Marah!

That's just it - many men have NO idea how "well-received" they'd be (by the opposite sex), if they would stop dressing like they're about to take out the garbage. Clean up, and dress up, and the world will show appreciation.
But see, my father is a "dresser". He never goes out lookin' raggedy. He's in his eighties.

You are absolutely right! A clean cut man in a suit, just speaks to me. He will get my attention every time.
Props to your Pops!

Yes lawd. I like old school dudes. My father dressed well too. I suppose I'm just not into the way a lot of younger guys (and some older ones) dress today. I don't like all those baggie clothes and hanging off ya behind and so much jewelry. Or that just rolled outta bed look. Unless you look like Alcide..then you get to look how you wanna look. LOL!
I have to say my husband was looking good as heck this year for the high holy day services in his tailored suits. And my gawd..you'd think it would be impossible to make a tallit look sexy but he did it! LOL! His new tallit with the silver all spun through it.. FATHA! Gurl, when we went to open the ark and I looked over at him.. my heart leapt in my THOAT (and yes I said THOAT)! LOL! I had to catch myself on my high heels child! WHOO LAWD. Darn if he didn't look like Jewish royalty standing over there... women that ain't been at shul ALL DARN YEAR was checking for my husband.. I was like, "Yes ladies..I'm his Mrs. See how I got this silver in my dress to match him..bam. Don't hate!"
I was FEELING myself this year yall. Like for real for real. Our son looked so cute too.. he had on a jet black suit, with a silver tie and his kippah was all black with the outline of Jerusalem on it in silver.

I love the way Mr. Kinks dresses, he stays suited up or nice fitting jeans but always a button down or polo top. Since he is a big guy all of his suits and shirts have to be tailored to him and his shoes stay shined. I'm big on shoes, cufflinks and ties.
A man with dusty, scuffed up shoes is unacceptable on all levels.
...i'm supersonic

welp, let me get my blankets for living under a bridge cause there is nothing I can use my degree for, that I would actually want to do. I don't even like my degree. I don't like anything. I legit hate everything. I don't like to do anything. What does a person who likes nothing do?
The only thing left to do is military, that's all I got for just having a bachelors in general. I just don't like how they dress....ugh. And I can't just do nothing after I graduate I need to do something. I can't not do something. I would love to not do something but I need good pay, and without good pay, I will be forced to move back home. And I will not move back home. I love my family but my hometown would be a death wish. Then I'd DO NOTHING. Because there is nothing there except swindlers and marks and tricks, and people who do nothing, unless they have jobs, that aren't paying you half a penny.
I just want a nice job to buy nice things. I really could care less about what it is. I'm a settler, I can settle into things. I'd work at McDonald if they paid 25 dollars an hour, because I just want to live on my own not pay check to pay check so that I can buy nice things, go to happy hour, not have to study for exams that no one cares about, and preferably buy a camaro DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH THOSE COST? OMG USED ONES COST MORE THAN HOUSES.
where's james franco, my ovaries are waiting for you. Imma just have to trap me a rich man.
