Thanks! I've been using it for a couple years in my hair but only in the summer and I alternate between using it as a styler and condish only styling. Her hair is fine like mine but much more fragile. It rebelled when I used it and her hair still had texturized ends but it looks fantastic in this twist out now she's natural. I don't plan to use it during the cold months because it made my hair hard and crunchy and I'm afraid hers will break.
That was nice of you to send to your cousin! And congrats on her BC.
BTW I'm so mad at myself for texturizing my daughter's hair. All because I deluded myself into thinking it was unmanageable. Oh well...we live and learn.

You're another one I wonder about, sometimes. Actually, I don't wonder...I think I got it down. You already have decided the end of the matter - you know what you believe, so any "proof" would not be proof at all...it would just be another reason to continue on, with contempt for those who don't agree with you.
You wreck the train, before it even leaves the station..

I'm really surprised how many men comment and ask me questions about my hair. I have had several strangers walk up to me and ask me who does my hair, if this my natural hair, if it's all my hair.
Actually I get that "is all of that your hair?" question a lot because my hair is soooo dense. I was thinking of thinning it out but now I've decided to embrace the massiveness of it because women on my mom's side tend to have thin hair as they get older.

As far as this job is concerned I feel like I am destined to screw up.
No matter what I do something goes wrong.
I've never been in this type of situation before. I don't know what to do.

I'm hoping for the best. My hair is afraid of bleach. Too many horror stories.

I only did one spot, that's how much bleach was in the kit LOL. I mean I would need like 4 to do my whole head. I just wanted to see how blonde I can go, so far so blonde. 10 more minutes and I'll call it quits.
eta: what a bust. It wasn't as blonde as I wanted I should of went to 90 minutes instead of an hour. But I have no patience. oh well. Maybe I'll put blue in it later, I still have blue dye.

Hmm, it seems two things go by Brahmi, the popular one we commonly know as Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri) and the lesser used one here which is also sometimes called Brahmi, but is usually called Gotu Kola (Centella asiatica). Completely different, but they look similar (hence the erroneous naming of gotu kola) and to add to the confusion, have similar medicinal properties.

Sienna or anyone else with advice to offer,
I've been invited by a local mosque to attend their banquet Saturday night. I want to make sure I dress appropriately. This is part of some type of regional conference and I'm guessing I will be the only woman in Westernized clothing. Also This was a last minute email from them and i have to work during the day so no time to shop. All my dresses are about knee length or if they are longer they are sleeveless. Is sleeveless okay if it's not spagetti strapped and covers the whole chest. What about short sleeves in general? I also have some long broom skirts. When my friend girl and I went to North Africa a few years ago we wore super long skirts and turtlenecks. But that was in October and it is way too hot down here for Turtlenecks. Any advice is appreciated.

Hair was ON POINT today. These new products are the business! Let's see how second day hair is going to look like.
First try at making lipstick was SUPERB!!!!!
No lady at Ulta who was "helping" me pick a shade of the new BE palettes. YOU FAILED. I know my skin better than you. I know how it's supposed to look like with makeup on (after all I was a makeup consultant for a while and have been using BE for a long time). Makeup is not a mask, what you did makes me look like I'm wearing a light-skin mask...seriously. This is the last time I'm letting anyone pick a color for me. I usually know what I want, but they keep changing these damn shades on me. Anyway, no, you fail. The one win you have though, is hipping me onto the Smashbox photofinish primer. That is THE BIDNESS!!!!! It's not "natural" and has petro-derived ingredients, but SHOOT, I'm tired of being an oil slick and I have combi skin. The BE oil control primer is so super wack, I could cry. But just know that the only place you win is with regards to that primer, otherwise, that was a big fat fail on your part.
So until BE can come back with better shades in their new palette, I will stay with my matte BE powder. Works very well and it matches perfectly---you hear that lady from Ulta?!!
I really would love a compact mineral foundation in my shade. Sigh.

Zachary Tyler Eisen (the voice of Aang on ATLA) then and now:

DAYUM! It's just like Aang on ATLA versus Aang on LoK.
I feel all kinds of wrong (he actually turns 19 tomorrow) and will climb into my hand basket now, thank you.

I just bought these boots!

I've been so into black jeans/leggings and brown boots lately. Well, boots in general. I CAN'T STOP.
