The New & Improved Say It I Dare You

I did the most beautiful twist out on my daughter's hair! I am loving her newly natural hair as much as her! I am so happy I BCd her hair. I'm really surprised that her hair seems to now love the SM smoothie when her transitioning hair hated it. Gotta stock up on that stuff. Anyone heard of any good deals recently?

I still like it but only in teeny tiny amounts because it is so heavy on my hair. I'm still working my way through the bottles I bought years ago.
Congrats on bc. I bought some SM at the bogo for my cousin who just bc'ed. i sent a big package of hair products to lift her spirits because self haters talking crap about her..

I don't plan to use it during the cold months because it made my hair hard and crunchy and I'm afraid hers will break.

That was nice of you to send to your cousin! And congrats on her BC.

BTW I'm so mad at myself for texturizing my daughter's hair. All because I deluded myself into thinking it was unmanageable. Oh well...we live and learn.

LOL, I don't even know.

Makoyla is not impressed. Yeah, I don't even know.
You're another one I wonder about, sometimes. Actually, I don't wonder...I think I got it down. You already have decided the end of the matter - you know what you believe, so any "proof" would not be proof at all...it would just be another reason to continue on, with contempt for those who don't agree with you.

You wreck the train, before it even leaves the station..

I'm really surprised how many men comment and ask me questions about my hair. I have had several strangers walk up to me and ask me who does my hair, if this my natural hair, if it's all my hair.

Actually I get that "is all of that your hair?" question a lot because my hair is soooo dense. I was thinking of thinning it out but now I've decided to embrace the massiveness of it because women on my mom's side tend to have thin hair as they get older.

eta: what a bust. It wasn't as blonde as I wanted I should of went to 90 minutes instead of an hour. But I have no patience. oh well. Maybe I'll put blue in it later, I still have blue dye.

Things just got a WHOLE lot worse for poor, poor Amanda Bynes!
The troubled star has just been charged with TWO counts of driving with a suspended license, for her little joy ride outside the Burbank airport last Sunday!
Witnesses say Mandy was driving in circles around the airport before police pulled her over the second time, realized her license was suspended, and impounded her car.
She hasn't been sentenced yet, but the judge can decide to give the former child star up to SIX MONTHS in jail for EACH count! SOOO SAD!
What's worse: Amanda is also currently facing a DUI charge and two hit-and-run charges!
Our thoughts are with our old pal!
Hopefully she gets her head back on and is able to reason with the judge.
If not, she could always try pleading temporary insanity. We'd believe it!

amanda bynes is being crazy.....why??

My hair is in the 4s, low in porosity, high in density and coarse.

Love: QB - all of it, Bobeam - shampoo bars, Darcy's Botanicals - Pumpkin Seed Conditioner, Coconut Cupuacu Pomade, KBN - Shealoe Leave-in, Oyin - Juices & Berries, Kinky Curly - Knot Today, Ayurvedic treatments, my Denman and the cloud of kinky goodness on my head that I get to play with!
Sienna or anyone else with advice to offer,

I've been invited by a local mosque to attend their banquet Saturday night. I want to make sure I dress appropriately. This is part of some type of regional conference and I'm guessing I will be the only woman in Westernized clothing. Also This was a last minute email from them and i have to work during the day so no time to shop. All my dresses are about knee length or if they are longer they are sleeveless. Is sleeveless okay if it's not spagetti strapped and covers the whole chest. What about short sleeves in general? I also have some long broom skirts. When my friend girl and I went to North Africa a few years ago we wore super long skirts and turtlenecks. But that was in October and it is way too hot down here for Turtlenecks. Any advice is appreciated.
Hair was ON POINT today. These new products are the business! Let's see how second day hair is going to look like.

First try at making lipstick was SUPERB!!!!!

No lady at Ulta who was "helping" me pick a shade of the new BE palettes. YOU FAILED. I know my skin better than you. I know how it's supposed to look like with makeup on (after all I was a makeup consultant for a while and have been using BE for a long time). Makeup is not a mask, what you did makes me look like I'm wearing a light-skin mask...seriously. This is the last time I'm letting anyone pick a color for me. I usually know what I want, but they keep changing these damn shades on me. Anyway, no, you fail. The one win you have though, is hipping me onto the Smashbox photofinish primer. That is THE BIDNESS!!!!! It's not "natural" and has petro-derived ingredients, but SHOOT, I'm tired of being an oil slick and I have combi skin. The BE oil control primer is so super wack, I could cry. But just know that the only place you win is with regards to that primer, otherwise, that was a big fat fail on your part.

So until BE can come back with better shades in their new palette, I will stay with my matte BE powder. Works very well and it matches perfectly---you hear that lady from Ulta?!!

I really would love a compact mineral foundation in my shade. Sigh.
Wish I knew what BE stood for lol.

eta: YAY I got it in my own head. Bare essentials?

I want the smashbox primer the spot reducer or whatever it's called one.
Zachary Tyler Eisen (the voice of Aang on ATLA) then and now:

DAYUM! It's just like Aang on ATLA versus Aang on LoK.

I feel all kinds of wrong (he actually turns 19 tomorrow) and will climb into my hand basket now, thank you.
