The New & Improved Say It I Dare You

The banquet for the Imams conference was great. Very inspiring. Both Muslim and Christian leaders spoke about the commonalites of people whose faith comes down through Abraham and how in humankind we are the same underneath it all.
Picked up one of the books I purchased a few weeks ago and found a list if short stories that someone left in bewteen pages. Looks like they crossed three fourths of them off. I decided to read one.

Out of all the short stories on that list, why did I pick Sandkings right before bed? It's thought provoking but that was too much darkness before bedtime. Plus there are bug like creatures in it and you know how you get that crawly feeling on your skin.

The 2 stories I recognized from the list are "Lady or the Tiger" and "The Lottery" both are have dark themes...I wonder if that's the pattern for this list. I'm kind of curious about who this list came from too. I'll never figure that out though.

I'm going into these stories blind so I don't really know what's in store!
My friend told me yesterday I'm too picky when it comes to dating. Everyone tells me that. I'm not that picky.
I can't deal with someone who has no sense of humor and can't hold a decent conversation. And there's the whole honest, hard working, and dependable. Must be able to do minor fixes cars and stuff around the house. No smokers and no alcoholics or drug addicts. Must be at least my height. Have at least a basic education. No violent temper. Can't be a slob or super neat freak. Not too clingy but not always with his boys. Likes kids. Hates indoor cats. Bathes regulary and chronic bad breath or toe jam is a deal breaker. Be good at managing finances and prioritizing bills. Not be in major debt. It's over if there is more than one baby mama or a lot of bad butt kids getting child support. Snoring and cursing a lot will deduct cool points but can be earned back with a nice tush and dimples. Not a cheapskate and not expecting me to cook every night. Is okay with my need to be alone time. Not jealous of my friends or family time. Doesn't spend obsessive time playing video games or on the computer. Never made porno. Not on the DL. Never paid for sex or done the swinger thing. STD free. No felony convictions. I don't want someone on the sex offender registry. Can ride a motorcycle or have whatever hobbies but isn't offended that I hate it. Is okay that I'm a diva and so is my hair.

And not least, be able to lay it down. Now is that picky??

hates indoor cats???

lol are cats supposed to be outside?

I hope dogs are supposed to be outside then too.....

I know a few other people that say cats should be outdoors, but not dogs. Strange idea....
That's a long list. That might be why they think you're picky. You're quite detailed.
I get told I'm picky, but I really don't think I am. I can't make myself feel attraction where there's none. It's not as if I have some physical criteria that I need to be able to check off for a man to get a chance. It's either "oh yes please" or "ooh, no thank you".
In terms of personality, no sexist douchebags, please. I can't have someone who tries to deny the existence of privileges. No drugs, no heavy drinking, no smoking. Cannot be a Republican. Just no. And I'm not some huge Democrat, but that party is despicable and I can't be with someone who supports them.
I need someone with a sharp wit.
I like someone who can make me laugh and basically acts as a foil to my sometimes overly serious nature.
Other stuff, well, I can worry about later so long as they can get past the main criteria.

Many of the men my friends/associates date/have dated/have married, I would have passed on, because it's not that serious to be part of a couple for me. I don't think it's necessarily that my standards are so "high". I think a lot of women don't shoot very high, in the first place. They hook up with guys under some shady conditions, and hope everything will just end up right. Okay.

There are certain deal breakers - non-negotiables. I never waiver on those, because there's no point.

They have done some major damage in at least two places she's rented that I know of. The carpet was in tatters. I don't have pets but I figured a dog would be easier inside.

I have dated guys who smoke and kissing them was like sticking your tongue in an ashtray. Yuck!!! I have also dated an alcoholic and that is just drama. You can't reason with a drunk. I dated a druggie and at first he was fun and we went out a lot. but then he got to where if he didn't have a gig all he ever wanted to do was stay home and get stoned and fall asleep at 7 pm. Not much fun. I dated a guy with 4 kids by 3 dif baby mamas he never married. He was always broke and he wanted me to play mommy to his kids. Uh no.
Oh well, I guess that's why I'm still single. Not complaining really since actually I'm pretty happy.
Finally! This darn curl talk app works for me. Guess my iPhone software was way out of date.

Ya'll done killed me this morning with the neck roll on the SM thread. I need a second cup of coffee to bring me back to life.

Every teardrop is a waterfall
About my hair:
weekly shampoo-HE Honey I'm Strong
daily conditioner-HE Honey I'm Strong (use as li)
go to style-Pocahontas braids
So if I don't agree with a poster I should keep it to myself otherwise I'm being childish. I guess.

To bring back something up after a person has already stated they are doing something else IS childish. What's the point in even bringing it up again if the discussion is over, other than to start some mess, like a child. And then to "get e-mad" and passive aggressively "vent" because you didn't get the argument that you wanted, that's even more stupid.
The Mediterranean egg white sandwich I had from Panera Bread was so delicious I'm still thinking about it 2 hrs after I ate it. I need to figure out how they got their tomatoes like that. I'll definitely try to make it on my own soon.

Yummy!

You may have reached your conclusion on the topic but a month or year from now someone else may want to revive your thread and talk about how busted SM is for not having a working website for over a year. You never know. If you want to move on then do just that.
