Oh my goodness Soleilmoncur I'm so sorry to hear that. I'll definitely keep you and you family in my thoughts.

Some of the ladies on Facebook combined her registry along with a new one so people can send thing directly to her husband. You can also donate to a paypal account if you want to send monetary donations. Sorry if this was posted already I can't keep up with you ladies in this thread.

MyRegistry.com - All Stores One Registry

A childhood friend of mines passed last week as well from heart issues. Her and Dawnyele really have me thinking about heart health, and how we may skip pass the issue because of our age. I know I tend to think of elderly people as the ones who have heart attacks not young women in their early 30's. Heart disease is the #1 killer of women and I honestly wasn't seeing it until now. I plan on getting a full physical because it just seems this issue comes out of nowhere (symptom wise) when it too late.
I'm sorry Jah.

I've been thinking a lot about that stuff as well, especially after the passing of these youtubers and these other deaths I'm hearing about. Just terrible.

Some mail came to the house a little while back that was about some ultrasound that can look into your arteries and see how healthy they are. Things like strokes and heart disease can be intervened upon, before they occur or become fatal. I wish i still had the mail but my mom threw it away. I think that would be a good idea to encourage people to do from their doctors but it isn't cheap and it isn't fully covered by insurance. It costs $150-$200 for a session and doesn't take much time. In the grand scheme of things that's not a lot of money but it may be off putting. And the reality is that not everyone, especially the people who would benefit the most, can afford that. Not everyone looks at health as an investment.

I'm a nurse at a hospital and everyone (even unpaid students doing clinicals) are required to get a flu shot. This year, if we don't get the flu shot by December, we will lose our jobs. This hospital has also decided to not hire smokers, has gotten rid of all sodas (only diet and sugar free drinks are available) and makes all staff do a yearly physical that the hospital keeps tract of results. It's just a cholesterol test and BMI but still!

its scary. after my daughter i started having bad chest pain. i thought i was going to die it hurt so bad my dr sent me to a cardiologist to see what was going on. my hearts beating at 50 % they said, i had to cancel my follow up and haven't rescheduled it yet but after hearing about dawnyele im def rescheduling it to see what that means and whats going on. 50 sounds not good but apparently its just below the low end if normal. i read women dont realize when theyre having a heart attack as quickly or easily as men do.

Wait, how is near normal for the heart to beat at 50%? That sounds pretty dismissive to me from the doctor. I hope you get that checked out soon.

WTF is happening to NC.com? I can't believe it's taking them this long to take this sh*t down. TAKE IT DOWN. This is a hair board and we choose what topics we want to talk about in the non-hair section. We do not need your help finding "trending topics" OMG for the love of pete!!!!!!!!!!!

I Can't stand the ads and banners. Especially that huge ad that would pop out of nowhere every time id open a bew thread. The app doesn't have that mess though so I prefer to just use it instead.

NC has been going downhill for quite some time now though.

I have been following this story on NJ.Com

When they realized the little girl was missing, all the comments were pointing to a sexual pedofile snatching her.

When they realized it was two black youths the comments turned to "savages, cages, animals, beasts"

This poor childs life was snatched away for her bike and its quite sad but lets leave race out of it.

Wait, I forget where I am.

So true. When I read articles like this I try my hardest not to read the comment section because it just pisses me off.

They're so stubborn, they didn't want to remove them so they gave us an option to hide them. I'll take it...for now. I KNOW something else will come up.

NC.com, hiding the trending topics doesn't negate the fact that they are still trashy articles, not trending (they're old) and downright offensive sometimes.

I agree. The quality is really good. Its a pity they're not global. You can find lots of youtube reviews with darker toned women using sleek.

Do you use it? (the BB cream I mean)

I've checked off so many things off of "my list" this year, but by far the hardest thing to do was to "ask for help." I didn't even realize that was an option... Amazing.

I got the shot.

I asked the lady if I can just pay for it and leave, but she said that was illegal.

so they are mandating flu shots now? I haven't had a flu shot in my life. I dare someone to force me to do that. There should be a waiver for religious or health exemptions.

Oh & I don't log on to NC via PC these days because of all the pop ups & clutter. That "get the scoop" box is annoying in and of itself before I even login

Yea they are, people in healthcare especially. We have no choices because apparently we don't own our bodies. If we did there wouldn't be mandates such as these.

Sorry for being so obnoxious about this. I'll stop now.
