Hey guys!! Happy Friday!
I have a quick question that I just posted int he job forum... I'm hoping you wiser people can help me out with this.
So a lot of these jobs that I'm trying to apply for (recently posted) are in the non-student category. Technically I am a student until Dec. 14 when I graduate. I'm afraid they will automatically reject my application and it also might just not make sense if they are looking for people to start immediately (they are 8-5s).
I can only apply for these jobs once. How long should I wait until I apply? (I'm assuming there will continually be new listings...) I was thinking until Dec 1. What do you guys think?

I'm by no means wiser but I will offer my two cents.
I would go ahead and apply and if you get an interview explain your situation and see what they say. There's no harm in that. If you apply you're at better odds than not applying at all or waiting. Why not get the ball rolling and get a head start on the job hunt and potentially having a job lined up when you graduate?

Those are good points!
That's what I was thinking. I'm actually pretty eager to apply, but the only thing is that it goes through the computer system. I have to say student: yes or no. So if I say "yes" they probably won't consider me for "non-student" jobs and it would be time wasted applying. However, if I said "no" then it would be a lie and I would feel bad if I got an interview and they asked me about it...
What I REALLY wanted to do, was call their offices and ask but I can only find the big university number - not their small department's... I might just try to find them through the call system.

you are so crazy!! lol
hey if you work for the guvment you should see if you can get the county to hook you up with some gas. The county I live in has their own private gas pump they use for their vehicles like squad cars, street sweepers ect. They don't make it known much. anyway, if you tell them you have no other way to get to work they might let you get at least a quarter tank. You don't drive a government car but if you are using your car for government purposes of getting to and from work in a time of crisis to keep the government running then I would think it should be legal. We have company cars but I have seen companies pay gas stipends to people who use their vehicles for business purposes.

Unfortunately, I don' have that option. I work and go to school in the city and both have canceled everything for this week. Next week is going to be hellish!

My Ouidad appointment has been postponed until JANUARY! I knew it was coming but I don't have the patience to wait. I feel like BC'ing again something fierce. I really don't know if they are gonna have any hair to style...my patience is at a low...
I don't know if it will pass, but I can honestly say I don't care about length any more...

Some of friends think it is wrong to send food back and people should just suck it up and eat it. I say if this stuff is undercooked, burned, not the right consistency or too nasty to be edible it is being sent back. I am already particular about how i like my cole slaw. Creamy sweet and not vinegary. But that slaw mayo looked old like that stuff had been sitting in the fridge awhile. I went ahead a took a small bite and yuck!! I went back to the counter and told the man it was nasty and I wanted something else for my side. And he asked me if i already ate some. Duh!! How would I know it was nasty? He replaced it but if he hadn't i never would have gone back. Granted I don't eat the whole dish then try to clown at a restaurant about it being nasty. And I know too many people who have got food poisoning from food made with mayo for restaurants not to be making sure it is right.

It was crab cake stuffed in a crab shell. I don't eat anything prepared in that configuration or a variation on the theme.

Why must Whole Foods be so amazing? They finally opened one near me and we took a trip up there today. They don't call that place "Whole Paycheck" for nothing. I got a slice of fresh spinach pizza with asiago cheese It was all the way on point.
I can't wait for dinner. Salmon with steamed veggies and rice. Carrot cake for dessert. It's goin down!

Have you been to Mariano's?
Oh boy! It is whole paycheck quality...well I would say the fresh fish/meat sections is way better than Whole Paycheck without giving up the whole paycheck. It is still more expensive than Jewel or Dominick's but definitely my new home for our organic grocery shopping.
...i'm supersonic
