The only thing I find interesting is that I haven't posted on that forum in YEARS and some of them are still upset. I mean...sorry? I feel like I must have said something to them, but I don't remember who they are.

Oh God! I found it! My belly hurts from laughing! You have destroyed my lunch break, it can no longer be productive!

Do you believe in the common denominator thing when it comes to relationship/social problems? Personally, I don't think it's always true. I think it is a lazy analysis.

Yes and no - I think it's a shallow analysis (especially if you don't put yourself in the other person's shoes) but there is usually more to it. At the end of the day, I think that the two parties often have very different views on what the relationship or love (when applicable) is supposed to be, and haven't discussed the disconnect.

Speaking of mispellings and grammar, do you guys tell businesses when their signs are wrong? We have all seen the "we except food stamps" signs. My pet peeve is a word I don't even use. I'm a "you guys" person but most people around me say "y'all". Only they misspell it ya'll. And it drives me crazy because it is a contraction of "you all" so why would there be an apostrophe in the middle of the word "all"? I'm outside this restaurant with their big THANKS YA'LL sign and I am really tempted to say something.

Hey Soleil!
"Ya'll" tears me up too. I always read it as "yes will." But no, I don't correct them.

Ok. This song is HELLA old, but I'm really feeling Omarion's Sweet Hangover. I'm about to break out in dance here at work. The beat is really really intoxicating.

I usually have to work Thanksgiving so I'm blessed to have friends who invite me to stop in when I get off. This year a dear friend and her husband invited me. I accepted but I'm hesitant because although I love her to death her cooking is not good. Actually it's awful. Think crunchy rice. Think chicken and dumplings is more like chicken and wth? Anywho, I don't have time to help her cook (not that I'm Martha Stewart) since I have to work but I am strongly considering eating before I go and putting the tiny spoonfulls on my plate. I really don't want to make her feel bad. Her husband seems to like the food but I think maybe he grew up in a house where they eat that Stove Top stuffing mess so he's glad to get what he can get.

so I straightened my hair and today in class my classmate says
Friend- I like your hair.
Me- Thanks, I don't really like to wear it this way because my scalp itches like crazy.
Friends- Oh because the chemicals right?
Me- Huh?
Friend- To straighten your hair, the chemicals.
Me- I don't use those.
Friend- (Incredulous look) oh.
Don't know if I should be offended or not. Why does the majority of people who are other races girls assume that we have to use chemicals to get our hair straight. My hair goes BONE straight from curly with one pass of the comb.
