So the job won't give me $$ for moving expenses. My mom states that I should write an email to plead my case. I already signed the contract and I just need to be working. I get it they want me and should be able to pay....but the reality is idk even know the reality except that I am ready to do what I got a degree for and LOVE to do and stop having to worry about how am I gonna feed myself and pay bills. *frustrated*

3 out of 4 of my fishes died. my husband told me to get over it, but I think my fishes deserved the cry I gave them. The first two were my first pets ever

I wouldn't be offended. I have had all kinds of crazy questions. Some of it is people who have never been around black people much. All they know is what they know from watching "Good Hair".
Also I think a big part of the problem is us. Some black people tell "other" races stuff that is either not true or does not apply to everyone. Example, a white guy told me recently he was told by an AA that black girls don't like to get their hair wet. I wet my hair every single day and I'm black. A black coworker was telling people how we all use hair grease. Uh, I have never liked to use grease in my hair or on my scalp even when I was relaxed. It is too heavy and gives me dandruff.

I'm mad you just asked me to scan 100 pages from a book. I'm even more upset that I did it. I need this other job to come through ASAP.

Joy Reid needs to have a football team worth of children, or adopt the same amount. Hell I'd bring forth her children for her as long as she raised them!

Aww! How long had you had them? I've never had a pet, but I understand people getting upset when they lose them. Not 'take a week off work upset', but upset. I'd be more concerned if people didn't get upset.

My mom is really stressing me out about this move. She is just so mad that the new job won't give me a moving stipend and I am just like we need to move on from this point. She wants me to get a tune-up change my tires and she is acting like they are having an effin blizzard in Michigan. I am just like so you want me to take back my decision?? I get it I really do. However the car servicing thing is just not an option. Tires yes tune-up no. I have a co-worker giving me her ebt card to go ahead an get some groceries. I have my old college roomate confirming whether or not her dad can load me and my stuff to michigan. She you is willing to take my small dog. Folks are trying to help. The principal claims she will be there and several others to help to make sure that I will be ok once I am there until first paycheck.
No jobs are moving for me in Georgia and I am sick of Georgia. I am tired of having to let oppurtunity after oppurtunity slip away because it is related to money. So what, I stay and continue not being able to pay bills or have the money to get certfied to be able to get a teaching job?? THEN I have to deal with people that have completely forgtten about my student teaching to get my recommendation letters to only work in a school system that is broken??? I don't know I am trying to power through and just get the move over with.

I've avoided this site and others because I'm so broke and this forum makes the PJ in me itch (and I find it impossible to stay away from other threads). *sigh* I need a job! Black Friday is going to make me cry. I need to get signed up for Jobseekers' Allowance (not that I'd spend it on hair stuff, I just hate not having money in my pocket). If it wasn't for my birthday a few weeks ago (my sister took me to Rome, it was GREAT!) I would be so miserable! But I am blessed in many ways so I shouldn't complain really.
My hair is still looking good though.
How's everyone doing? I see some have new jobs and some are tired of their jobs (why would someone need to photocopy 100 pages from one book?? ). Did I miss any drama?

Hi Jo!
I could have written the majority of this post.lol I'm pretty sure you haven't missed any drama around here. But I stay in 4a 98% of the time I'm on here.
I can't believe thanksgiving is next week. I definitely thought it was going to be on the 29th. This year has gone by super fast. My mom was right when she said when you get old time is like a blur. There probably won't be any hauls for me either but I have what really matters at the end of the day.
I haven't accomplished all that i wanted to this year but I'm trying to stay positive. I'm still unemployed but I had a really good interview last Wednesday. I'm hoping I hear some good news soon. I've struggled with getting myself down about things I can't control but I'm noticing when I occupy my time and energy more productively it helps me keep hope alive.

I would try a different kind of fish. Goldfish get sick so easy and they poop too much. Tetras are pretty good and danios are dynamite! I started up a tank again in may and they are holding up good. 4 of them died when my daughter knocked over the tank and broke it. The 2 survivors lived in a cup for about 2 weeks until I got the new tank ready. The key is to keep the water clean too many nitrates from fish waste is what kills them. I add fresh water whenever the level gets low and I clean the gravel once a month. What size is your tank?
