It NEVER fails to amaze me how bent out of shape some people get, over the smallest of obstacles. How do they handle...real difficulty?

I know this is super random and I pop up and dip out on here but Ive been working at sephora for the past 3 weeks now and I just thought Id share.... Buxom amplified mascara is AMAZING. I bought benefits there real cause its a top seller and I got a lorac one, Ive tried a bunch others they sell before I worked there and buxom is hands down the best. no clumping, long lashes, doesnt smear cause I have super oily skin and my mascara always ends up smearing from my lashes touching my face. So if you want a good one id try that one. not in the store though. the testers are full of grossness. youd be surprised how many ppl come in and use it straight out the bottle. ill never use a tester again after working there. buy it return it if you dont like it. never use a tester. ever! unless its a lip or cream etc you can put on your hand.

oh also, if you like foundations but have trouble finding one, this is full coverage, and learned this from another black woman I work with, kat von d is really really good for women of color. every time I go to that one when someone comes in looking for a full coverage foundation and they arent white well even if they are I go to that one. lighter coverage nars sheer glow or matte is good. thats what I use.

if you have oily skin, murad oil control mattifer is really really good. first day I used it was also the first day I didnt look like a grease ball 4 hours into my shift. I always used a mac paint pot as a base for my shadows and my shadows always creased after a few hours and every look I did suddenly blended together in oil. I used an actual eye primer, urban decay primer potion in sin and my eye makeup lasted allllll day in the hot sephora lights. so if you have that issue def look into an actual eye primer.

out of all the felt tip liners ive tried stila is the best. its the darkest and longest lasting. no smearing. easy to apply, waterproof and very very black. I was sold the day I put it on my hand showing someone how it looks compared to other felt tip liners we have and it was not only the darkest but it wouldnt come off! I washed and sanitzed my hands that whole day and it didnt come over till I actually rubbed and rubbed at it.

ok thats my randomness for now.

Some days curlformers. Some days flexirods. At first the cf were impossible to sleep in but the I realized i had too many in my hair. Fewer in the hair and they bend and are more comfortable. Since my hair is so dense I have to two stand twist then run it through cf to make it work. Same for flexirods.

I just noticed that Curl Junkie had Curl Rehab 32oz on sale for $10.00 each for the Gardenia and $15.00 each for the Strawberry. I love that condtioner and only buy when it's on sale. I put 3 bottles of the Gardenia in my cart and the price was still $10.00 each. I had butterflies in my stomach thinking this is awesome!!! I have never seen the price this low. But, it all went away when I tried to check out. The price went back up to $65.00. DANG!!! It must have been a glitch in their system. I knew it was too good to be true.

I need toilet tissue but feel bad about going to get it today because I feel like I am supporting those businesses that are open on Thanksgiving, keeping people from their family and friends.

LOL!!! Adthomas went old school! I have not so fond memories of using the catalog at my grandparents house once or twice.

Plus, for some, work is an ESCAPE from family members, who eat up the world (but bring side dishes that feed two people), don't help clean up after, and force you to tolerate their loud, misbehavin', dish/trinket/glass breakin', dog-tormentin', food-wastin' kids.

Just sayin

I'm pretty anti-shopping today, but I've always thought of it this way: grocery stores stay open for awhile as a legitimate service to people serving holiday dinner who forgot something. I will run out to one anytime before about noon, after that I personally feel like it's pushing it. I've watched their hours push later and later each year but having been in retail management for years, I know they won't do it next year if the sales weren't there those hours so I keep it to early in the day and do without otherwise. This year we had no potatoes because we didn't realize they rotted until it was too late for our cut off. /my $0.02

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

For the majority of the year I've been pescatarian but I decided to eat turkey today. It was totally worth it because the turkey was on point. Anybody else have early dinner? We ate at around 2:30

We ate at 1:45 which was 45 minutes late. I always find dinner time holiday dinners strange, maybe it's a carryover from immigrant grandparents/living in a largely immigrant community because my friends where we live now all flip out over our mealtimes. I couldn't make it till 6 pm or something though, I'd pass out from hunger while cooking!
