just gave michelle her first bath...she hated it, but it needed to be done because she had started to smell like a foot. she screamed and cried, but when we finished I playes bruno mars just the way you are, on youtube. she loves that song, so shes calm now.
my original plan was to only use natural bath & body products for her, but yesterday a bunch of papi's relatives showed up with a ton of johnson & johnson stuff, so I guess ill just use that untill its finished and then promptly switch to cara b naturally. but I do loooooove how the johnson baby lotion smells. papi mama is so sweet, dont speak a word of english but keeps trying to talk to me and teach me about baby care. she keeps making me drink hot chocolate, apparently it helps with breastmilk production? I dont know but I havent had water in days, everytime im thirsty she hands me another cup of the stuff. salvadorean hot chocolate is goood, nutty tasting.
I wish people would stop commenting on michelle skin color. thats all im getting is "shes so bright and pretty!!" I keep explaining most black babies are born fairly light, but its falling on deaf ears. makes me worry, are people still gonna think shes pretty in a few months when she has brown skin? shes mixed, so she wont be medium brown like me, but she will still be some shade of brown with some type of curly hair.

You will never win that battle, my son is half puerto rican. when he was born he was whiter than the doctor, now hes a tannish/banana looking complexion.
His dads side of the family swore he was gonna stay that way, uhmmm right
