I wish people would stop commenting on michelle skin color. thats all im getting is "shes so bright and pretty!!" I keep explaining most black babies are born fairly light, but its falling on deaf ears. makes me worry, are people still gonna think shes pretty in a few months when she has brown skin? shes mixed, so she wont be medium brown like me, but she will still be some shade of brown with some type of curly hair.

You will never win that battle, my son is half puerto rican. when he was born he was whiter than the doctor, now hes a tannish/banana looking complexion.

His dads side of the family swore he was gonna stay that way, uhmmm right

yes! I was actually really brown when I was little now I'm tannish banana like your son LOL. Strange, no one believes me but I have pictures!

My nephew is actually getting a sister, sometimes I wonder if he will feel weird, if she turns out brown and have dark hair, because he's paler (he's pretty much white) than my Sister in law, she's actually tan. But then again my father is very dark skinned, who he loves so he has no problem with looking different from his family, although people tend to stare. grrr.

He actually called a picture of shaq...grandpa a long time ago, I still die laughing.

how do you forgive your family for hurting your feelings?

Its not like a random stranger where I can brush it off. I'm praying about it but I'm stumped.

Maybe I need to just keep praying.
