It's hard to tell your texture without touching it since texture measures the diameter of the hair strand. You could be fine, medium, or coarse. So I think you are really asking what hair type you have (as in what size curls). If you have tight spirals..you aren't 4c. As far as I know 4c has no curl pattern.
Tight spirals is 4a..the size of a pen spring..yes that little spring inside of a ink pen. Undefined hair with hardly any curl pattern is getting into the 4b and 4c range.
If you can check out a book called "The Science of Black Hair" by Audrey Davis-Sivasothy. It's an excellent book that details hair care for natural, relaxed, and or colored hair. It's extremely helpful. Also go to this website for good info about curly hair care... www.livecurlylivefree.com . Where you can learn how to determine your texture, hair porosity, and info about what products will work well with your particular hair texture and porosity.
