BECAUSE
they say OF COURSE not, they are all mixed. how couls you even try and calssify blah blah blah blah? like it's obvious and people aren't smart for thinking otherwise.

Yeah, Beyonce is light skinned, and she has a mixed heritage of French, Afrian-American, and Indian I believe, because I saw it on a commercial. I am light-skinned and I am 1/8 Native American, and my natural hair is 4a. And a lot of black celebrities are mixed, some I didn't even know were mixed, it's online. So do light skinned black exist? it's hard to say...

I'll come clean to all of y'all. My parents are Norwegian not Nigerian. I just came out with nappy hair, dark skin and big old lips, so I pretend to be Black for convenience.
So since a dark-skinned White person like me exists, I'm sure there are light-skinned Blacks also making up their heritage.

And most peoples these days have some combination of cultures and ethnicities, like Foxy said.
But if you we meant more directly like parents of a different ethnicity well I'm light skinned with two black parents.

(the one example of actual pure bloods i have is the last royal family somewhere on a remote island on hawaii, the original folks and NO ONE can even visit the place. they are said to be the original natives, not mixed with anything else and have kinky hair and dark skin. you can't even find pictures of the family. because HEAVEN FORBID anyone finds out that the real natives don't look Polynesian.)

African is a race, black is just a... I don't know. Saying? Term? There is no such race as "black". So yes there are light skinned blacks, and darker "whites".

I think African is more of a broad ethnic category, with a bunch of subcategories falling under.
Race is a social, political, and economical construct, and 'black' is the biggest one of them all.
This thread could have really gone around in circles (like that white ppl with type 4 hair thread) if ppl were legit interested in talking about it (I know I'm not) b/c we all have different worldviews, which forms our opinion on race.
I forgot which country I heard this about, but I heard that in that country, if you have one drop of white blood, you're white. So their stats would reflect A LOT more whites than we would would think, because we do the cactus opposite.
I for one don't consider Europeans from Mediterranean countries white. Idk why, I just don't. Then again, I identify ppl by their ethnicity and not their race, so it really doesn't matter to me.
